Went to the monthly Stirling Organic Market with Market stalls & plenty of Food stalls. (Can't remember the proper name of this monthly event). Started out the day with coffee at The Organic Market and Café. This Café & Market is well worth going to. The coffee was perfect. Later on we returned for a pot of tea, I had green. That was very refreshing. My friend had a slider and salad. Friendly, timely service, variety of food choices. Enjoyed looking at the Organic Market section of this shop. Lots of healthy choices, plenty of vegan, vegetarian and other choices. I didn't have much time to look very much but saw some great healthy options. I even saw (& resisted) a yummy looking 4 pack box of something that looked like vegan or vego Cornettos style icecreams. There were also lots of really nice vegies and fruit. Will hopefully come back to browse more. There are public transport options, bus being fairly easy to get to this location. If you are into bike riding, that would be a great option on the day of the Monthly Market as it was quite hard to find a park and we didn't allow extra time for that. Bit found a park eventually, after 15 mins. So.parking fairly far away, then walking to the Market zone is an idea. Public conveniences on site and ATM nearby.
I'd return again. They even do...
Read moreI'd love to give this place 5 stars, but I can't. Has long been my favourite Cafe, although I hadn't been for few years. Recently moved up to the hills and started going here again.
Unfortunately the service is now extremely slow. You could be waiting up to 20mins for just a smoothie. It will sit on the counter with no one serving it toyou, so you'll have to get up and collect it yourself which is what I noticed a few people doing.
Today I ordered the soup of the day. I waited over 30mins and it was brought out could. It was still delicious, but on a cold day like today was such a bummer! I noticed another lady got her soup before me, even though she ordered after me. I also noticed many others complaining about waiting times.
So I'm assuming this is not just cos of a "small kitchen" or being under staffed but also needs organisational improvements.
Let's hope this Cafe can get things running a bit...
Read moreI spoke with the Manager yesterday, about your Bakewell Slice needing to be renamed, "Christmas Bakewell Slice", and about the wet soggy under cooked, Rye bread "toast". Also, I said that the Chermoulah Soup had not a lot of flavour, except salt, and even less yoghurt hidden in the soup somewhere. I had to ask a second time to have the toast replaced, as I guess that they forgot to do it. I preferred the white bread toasted, as it turned out. That soup had many black flat square thick pieces in it, may from the diced road potatoes in there, not a good thing. I had forgotten to say that yesterday. I hate criticising, and do found my time there to not be relaxing. There were a few nice things about my visit, but all of this clouded it, unfortunately. I have never reviewed anything,...
