Beachside Cafe and Bar — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

I wish I had read the reviews before coming here. My sisters and I went in to order food where the guy working just stared at us. My sister ordered first and paid over $3 on surcharges. My other sister and I ordered and we were told they weren’t serving what we wanted. The young guy serving was wearing his gloves while serving and took 3 other orders after my sisters. He didn’t change his gloves before touching the food. When I went up and asked him for a refund as that is disgusting I was told no and he will just remake it. I said no we just want a refund where he again tried to tell me no he’ll remake it, I again said no and just asked for a refund where he said he needs to call his manager and his manager will come and tell me. I waited for his manager to come in who asked me what my problem was and I explained what happened where he proceeded to argue with me and tell me that the young boy will just remake it. I had to ask for a refund 6 times before being given one. Tables felt sticky and disgusting and terrible...

A great value for money local licensed cafe. The burgers and pizza were first rate and deserts delicious. The staff were wonderful and we, a family of 8, had a great feed. The evening was spoiled by a young couple at an adjoining table complaining about an entree but then eating a full pizza, a burger, wine and coke then refusing to pay anything for their meal or drinks before making a scene and leaving. If I ever see these two low-lives again I'll give them a piece of my mind. I hope all Golden Beach and Pelican Waters locals give the new owners a go and make up for scum like this couple. Place doesn't deserve a 4.7 star. Food was cheap quality food for semi-premium pricing. Ordered online, paid, order cancelled because they're doing some sort of upgrades. Ended up losing money because of foreign exchange rates on the refund (2 days later). Had to go in and the person seemingly hadn't used their computers system at all, took 10 mins to order in person for 4 things, the guy cooking apologised with a handful of free chips with my burger, hardly makes up for it when they put the wrong sauce on the wings too.
