Pretty alright chocolate however you have to consider prior to visiting if it’s worth being screamed at and rushed just for the taste of some okay tasting chocolate , I have been to Maleny chocolate co prior and have had good interactions with staff in past, but this time as me , my 9 year old daughter and some friends from overseas came to have a nice afternoon tea I’d booked a week in advance I was met with what I can only describe as the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced , we wanted to order a few drinks and due to the fact my friend was unsure and needed a spare second to think a short Scottish man made some incredibly passive aggressive comments to us making it out that ordering a few drinks was putting him at a huge inconvenience, when we got the scones that we had ordered again with the booking made a week prior, it came out with no jam, although not too happy with having no jam I thought maybe it was just forgotten or given out at the counter, upon approaching the counter to ask around the jam I had this man scream in my face that he didn’t have it and would not get it, slamming stuff down, being incredibly aggressive and throwing things around, and even said that “after the way we ordered at the start (referring to his impatience in our drink ordering) that there was no way he’d help! “. I don’t usually write reviews but as a mum I don’t think it’s an appropriate place to take my kid anymore as to witness such unnecessary aggression for simply asking about jam is not something I want her to think is appropriate. I understand sometimes people act that way because they may be going through stuff of their own however this was beyond what I’d class as passable passive aggression and was borderline aggression.
responding to the response you have put through , it’s very disappointing how little you all seem to care about our experience with the service provided , and more about stating it never happened at all and was false allegations without any attempt at an apology . And nothing said on the review was false but everything is subjective and as much as you looked at us as a group of entitled rude customers we view the customer service provided as aggressive and unfair and can accept yes we could have been better customers but as the business were purchasing a product from its expected that the purchase would be as stipulated and that the customer service would be carried out respectfully. I can appreciate your need to defend your shop from negative feedback but the lack of acknowledgement even after watching the cctv wich would clearly show the aggression we were subject to speaks volumes in terms of the respect given to customers by your shop. I have only ever written positive reviews this is the first I’ve ever felt it was necessary to write a negative one and I would not go to all this effort if it...

Read moreMy mum is a local and always takes myself and her grandchildren here for icecream - For the last 8 years at least. I can only think the place is under new management or owners. We went with a nine year old and four year old the other day for ice cream. The serve for the 9 year old was not a full scoop as requested. The four year old received even less despite requesting a full scoop also. I questioned the amount of icecream and whether I would be charged the full amount. Not only did the man serving not top up the cups to give equal full scoops, he charged me the price of a full scoop. $6. I also requested a super hot coffee and was lectured about work place health and safety. This is out of character and why I suspect it is under new management. I will not be going back. And as a local, we know that there is an ice cream shop over the road. That is where we will go...
