Waffle-On Stroopwafels — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

This place has the potential however our experience was terrible here. We have been here three times. Two of which we haven't eaten because of how terribly we were treated. Today we turned up with a group of 10, 6 adults and 4 kids. Plenty of seats available and we approached the counter to approve and was faced with a rude reception. The restaurant was small and in the middle of other shops. There is a cafe Infront of it but it was mostly empty. We wanted to have waffles so we came here. After asking about the food we were told fairly bluntly about what they didn't have and then the lady turned her back on us and went back to doing what she was previously doing. There was no greeting or apology for being busy or a request to wait a moment and that they would be with us shortly. There were two people working there, an older lady who was very approachable and a young male who seemed aloof. We stood around for a minute or so. Also asked the male that was taking food to a table, he ignored us and continued serving other people. We thought the last time we visited was terrible and also thought it might have been an off day. The first time we went we were treated so well. We won't be coming here again. The worst thing is, we came along with tourists and they were pretty disappointed by this reception too. We ended up going a few doors down and spent just under $200 on our meals as a whole...

We were so impressed with the service and quality of waffle on stoopwafels. We ordered a flat white, cappuccino, eggs Bennie with bacon and eggs Bennie with salmon, and the Dutch frikandel roll. As a former Barista I definitely enjoy a good coffee and let’s just say Waffle on didn’t disappoint. I was a little hesitant to order a savoury waffle but the combination just worked so well and the waffle was both soft and crispy 🤤 Staff were friendly and service was quick. The frikandel was amazing. My only complaint was that the sauce was cold whilst everything else was warm so it was a little bit weird having the contrast. Flavour was though 10/10, that sauce was amazing!! Very impressed with the portion size in relation to price $$, definitely worth...

Had the great pleasure of stumbling upon this little joint today while we were passing through the quaint little town of Montville, QLD and I can easily say it was the most incredible experience of our trip to Australia. The service was incredible. The family would check up on each and every patron to ensure they were having a pleasant experience and did what needed to be done in a very very very incredibly rare chance they weren't. But the highlight would quite easily be there "Poffertjes" or Dutch Pancakes. They were light. They were fluffy. They melt in your mouth. They were sweet, but not overly sweet. I had three portions and was left craving just some more.
