STAY AWAY..! Review for Little May Café, Montville QLD ★☆☆☆☆
Sadly, our visit to Little May Café was marred by an extremely disappointing experience. When we politely questioned an unexpected 30-cent surcharge for having a $12 juice served in a takeaway cup, we were met not only with rudeness but a complete lack of professionalism.
There was no signage or verbal notice about this fee, and only after querying it were we told the only way to avoid the charge was to dine in. For context, these cups cost approximately 0.8 cents each in bulk — a negligible cost, but the issue here was never the amount, it was the poor attitude and complete absence of transparency.
What followed was even more shocking: when we chose to cancel our order, staff laughed, heckled, and cheered, creating an atmosphere that was not only unprofessional but downright hostile. We were left feeling humiliated and completely disrespected.
In a town celebrated for warmth and hospitality, this experience stood in stark contrast....
Read moreWe are 4 people for breakfast. We order 4 different plates. One of these was one of those selected on the menu (montville avo), we asked for the addition of salmon (+$10) and we got a dish with 10g of salmon. The other two dishes were simply a piece of bread with eggs and bacon, paid $20. We also waited a long time for two simple cappuccinos. What I have to say is the place could be really nice and pleasant, if it weren't for the fact that for very simple dishes the prices are really excessive, as much as the wait, on a day not so busy. The manager didn't even justify herself or apologise, but only justified $10 for 10g of salmon saying that "it's marinated in orange juice". I would like to point out that we were a table of people who do this same work and therefore aware of all the dynamics. is too...

I’ve been to many breakfast joints around, but this place is the only one I’ve returned to more than three times — and I explore new cafes every weekend! From the Pork Belly by Omurice with grilled mushrooms, caviar, and chili scrambled eggs to the braised pork benedict, every dish is a unique and exceptional experience. Not to mention the mocha — without a doubt, the best coffee on the Sunshine Coast!
Why settle for the same old breakfast when you have such an extraordinary menu to choose from? If you're around here, this is the place to try breakfast. The staff is not only friendly but also remembers what you had last time, offering great suggestions for new things to try. And the juices are always so fresh!
Simply put, I’ll definitely be back again and again. Highly...
