Please use this review for constructive criticism, Iām not trying to be nasty. As a doordasher waiting in store for a very prolonged period of time I tended to notice a lot and the inner hospitality in me was screaming.
Iāll start with the staff out front. Not terribly long after arriving I was promptly asked if I needed service so I stated my customers order etc however he did not actually go check on it. Fast forward and a plethora of newly arriving dashers and Uber drivers were receiving their service highly out of order considering there was a bench full of orders but the newest placed orders were flying out first. I felt invisible, nobody was following up to ask about my order for another good 20 minutes but everybody else around me would be addressed. The same boy finally asked me for my order name again then went and asked a couple others but realistically thatās confusing and would make a lot more sense to check the tablet one order at a time. Iām not sure if he actually checked or not this time because he didnāt say āwonāt be long, that will be about another 5 minutesā etc heād just walked off.
So then I see my customers order on the bench and then I watch it get put on a shelf above the grill. The order consisted of only salads.. who on earth puts salads above heat and steam?!
This one staff member who was actually doing her job amazingly up until this error, noticed me obviously looking around a bit confused. So she asked me now for the third time about my customers order and she did tell me itāll be ready soon. I thought we are finally on the homestretch.
Except no the order was still not coming. This is frustrating because as a dasher time is money. There isnāt the luxury of hourly wages so losing huge chunks of time especially during dinner peak has a massive impact on earnings. Turns out the bag that got put on the shelf was the entire order and was ready the whole time. The organisation is completely non existent. Bag also felt really empty however I cannot undo stickers to check, I can only ask if itās all there and hope for the best. Needless to say I was very embarrassed and concerned to deliver that order.
Other comments:
I could imagine customers often get handed the wrong orders too just watching these bags getting passed around between up to 3 people with no receipts or anything on the bags.
One girl was walking around at a snails pace doing nothing besides sulking. Service with a smile is still a thing guys. Like itās a bloody busy venue I understand that so watching her pace compared to everybody else running around like headless chooks was triggering.
Staff member at register had a break in customers and spent the time absolutely stuffing around with these tags when the lady was either manager, supervisor, shift leader etc was doing those so fast. Thereās definitely a conversation due about maximising time to efficiently work through jobs.
Also the lady in the kitchen who was definitely in charge was yelling down a long kitchen and absolutely nobody could barely hear her. It just seemed so ineffective needing to endlessly repeat also receiving minimal acknowledgement of even being heard. The main man she was actually talking to was sometimes not even in the room when she trying to shout to him but being so busy she wouldnāt have even had time to look around to see that. She was absolutely run off her feet smashing the orders out so fast. Just felt like a lot of people were really not working to match the order influx the same way she was.
Bottom line I borderline had an anxiety attack watching this operation. I can only imagine how stressful it would be for those taking their work seriously. I truly donāt mean to sound nit picky or anything along those lines I just see room for lots of improvement. I personally love Grillād and would love to see the staff...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA young girl around 19-20 years old, red hair, gave myself & my partner terrible service. Upon arrival she was not very welcoming, told us to sit down & order from the QR code. We ordered our meals off the code, she brought my drink over, had a very sour look on her face but I just assumed she was having a bad day. Then she brought our meals out to us- put our burgers on the table & accidentally tipped the chips as she put them down. She said āoh sorryā then put her hands all over the chips when stacking them back into the cups. She took the sweet potato fries to replace them, & I asked for her to replace them all as I do not want food that has been handled by someone. She rolled her eyes & snatched the plate away. When the chips finally came back out she put them down without saying a word & walked away. When we left she still had a snarly look on her face. The food was excellent but the service from her will not have me returning to the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe love Grilled Kawana and all other Grilled. It's our Thursday night ritual after shopping. We recently tried Betty's at Noosa because everyone raves on about it and I gotta say Grilled leaves Betty's for dead. The burgers are juicier at Grilled. The meat Patty's have more flavour. The staff are better trained The service is better. The food is brough to your table on plates and not served up by a buzzer system and dished up in cardboard trays. They ask your name when they serve you. The water at Grilled is served chilled in glass cups with a glass bottles and at Betty's they give you water in a disposable plastic cheap arse cup as if to say how dare you ask for free water. The list goes on Keep it up Grilled you have set the standard for...
