Joe Crow and Stormbird is a gorgeous find, serving up the best coffee in Shelly Beach made by staff who are genuinely delightful. They also stock a beautifully curated collection of homewares, ceramics, and artisanal knick-knacks that make me want to empty my wallet every time I start browsing. A great spot for takeaway caffeine (parking is plentiful, service is speedy), my preferred option is to take a seat out the back, either in the converted Queenslander (decked out in a reclaimed 70's beach vibe) or in the outdoor courtyard, where my six year old likes admiring the random arty treasures tucked away in pot plants and leafy corners.
