The Caloundra Lighthouses, being the original unit, and it's more contemporary larger replacement beside it, are shining beacons, literally and figuratively of a bye gone era. These long standing sentinels, have individually, and collectively, watched over the steady progress of Caloundra's growth over many many decades. Read moreGood to see these beauties being preserved by a group of volunteers called "Friends of the Lighthouses." Only opened on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month for tours at a cost of $5. I'll put this on my bucket list for next time I'm around this area. The views over Kings Beach are amazing from the base of lighthouses! Imagine them from the top!
