Pavilion Kiosk — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

Me and my two young sons came in the cafe to shelter from the rain and grab some chips. The waitress was so rude and abrupt while requesting vaccination details, which I gladly showed her and sat down. 10 mins later she comes over telling me she can’t accept a screen shot, so I said no problem I will get it up on my Medicare profile. As if of all days the website was down for maintenance. She asked me 2 more times while I was trying to solve the issue. However there was nothing I could do with the site down. With that I had to leave back into the rain with my two young children. I felt like I got treated like a criminal even though I had valid proof that I was vaccinated, that has been accepted everywhere to date. Since this I have now managed to link my vaccine cert to my check in. In the moment I felt so overwhelmed and felt I was treated so unfairly. The whole cafe was looking at me as if I was trying to enter unvaccinated as she was speaking so everyone could hear. What’s the world come too? Kicking a vaccinated person out into the rain with her two young children, even though she has proof she is vaccinated. Never again will I go back. I left shaking and...

Beautiful spot with a quaint old-school beachside kiosk with a serve window to the outdoors area. It's a nice vibe!!

The only reason I gave 4 stars is when the coffee was served it was a little too hot to drink. I had to wait 15 minutes before it was down to a reasonable temperature.

To the lady who was rostered on for the Saturday morning shift (May 28), just be mindful to gradually lower the temperature on the coffee machine as the day warms up - especially now that we're back into sunny Queensland weather. Otherwise you run the risk of burning the beans. You seem like a friendly and professional staff member and I hope to be served by you again.

I dont write many reviews but this food was beyond terrible. Nothing fresh whatsoever, not even the pre packaged and crumbed fish despite literally being on the beach. The beef burger pattie was a small and partially dried out with hard bits, tasted like the meat inside a cheap stale sausage roll. Bacon didnt even seem real. The chicken chips were extremely tiny and shrivelled like they were dehydrated freezer burned cheap crap out of a box. Paid an extra 4 bucks for calamari and got 3 tiny pieces literally the size of a 20 cent coin. Ridiculous price for stale cheap old crap....
