We had booked a 16th birthday party and upon arrival we were warned of an upcoming storm and told that we couldn't be moved inside. In hindsight we should of went elsewhere but we had quite a large booking group so it wasn't as easy as moving to the next restaurant. To our disappointment the storm came through right as our mains were starting to arrive. The staff continued to serve our mains, dump them on the wet tables where the rain was still rushing in through the shades above and proceeded to walk off. Drinks were also bought out during this time. People were screaming, staff were not assisting or taking their time to figure out a contingency plan. All patrons were wet by the time they ushered us into the next room. My question is why hasn't a contingency plan for this such uncontrollable causes put in place so they can be proficiently action-ed? The outcome was our party had to move inside to the bar where we were told to leave by 9pm due to age restrictions. Not an ideal space for ages ranging from 2yrs old to 60yr old. As we finalized our payments we discovered we were overcharged by $81 which admittedly was paid back however it was still an inconvenience of having to go back to sort it out. Overall the food was satisfactory. The wait staff was terrible (in saying that i will give credit for their efforts in singing happy birthday). The manager was helpful under such circumstances but just lacked prior planning. Unfortunately our group had a very disappointing experience on this...
Read moreI was quite disappointed with the dining experience. Although the ambiance was pleasant and the live music enjoyable, the food left much to be desired. The tacos were subpar—the meat seemed like it had been sitting around for over two days, with a texture and flavor that clearly indicated it wasn’t fresh. The avocado was dark, a sign it was past its prime, and the tomatoes were roughly chopped into large pieces, which really hurt the presentation of the dish. To make matters worse, the beans were canned and the sour cream was of very poor quality. Unfortunately, even the margarita couldn’t save the meal, as it was watery and lacked the expected balance of flavors.
The only positive aspect was the waitress’s dedication; she did her best despite being uninformed about how the restaurant operated. It’s a shame that the quality of the food doesn’t match the charm of the atmosphere. I hope the restaurant can review its processes and improve the quality of its ingredients and...
Read moreA really nice oasis in the middle of maroochydore. I would definitely recommend for a Sunday session, we tried the jerk chicken tacos and chips and guacamole as food options where I loved the homemade tortilla chips (were they fried flour tortillas?), but we were mainly there for drinks. Sangria, margaritas, mojitos and turbo jerrys (yum, alcoholic ginger beer and rum) were on the menu. I really liked the ordering process as well using a tablet to place your order and the friendly staff would bring things right out. I think the only thing preventing a 5 star review was on the food side. This may be personal preference but I found the guacamole needing a little bit extra... something (salt or maybe the avos weren't as ripe as they could have been that morning), and the jerk chicken tacos could have done with a bit more kick and char on the grill. Don't get me wrong, definitely try this place, you will enjoy yourself and I will be back next time I am in...
