My family and I had the best experience here at Meta kitchen! The restaurant was classy and intimate which was so beautiful, the table service was perfect and the chef has amazing customer presence and THE FOOD! The food was absolutely amazing! I have never had such perfectly cooked octopus, our family of 6 all tried something different and we all tried each others. Every single dish was cooked to perfection and full of flavour we were all so impressed. Not one single fault! Will definitely be coming back when I visit Sunshine Coast! The website stated the restaurant was open until 9pm. I asked for a table at 7.30 pm on a Friday night and was turned away as there was “not enough time to eat in”. A couple in front of us were also turned away. Really dissapointing.

UPDATE- Thank you for your response below - I checked my phone logs and it was 25 minutes not 40 when I attended the restaurant. However, it was not indicated when I called that it was mandatory to make a booking. I thought that with 1.5 hours time before closing this would have been adequate time for a quick pizza. The two patrons ahead of us you also declined also seemed puzzled that they had been refused a table.

Held my partners surprise 30th here. Met multiple times with owner to discuss canapé menu, paying top dollar for lots of variety. Agreed on all canapés. On the night there were 3 types canapés that were not provided- the owner stating he thought it would be enough variety. Feedback from a guest was that the owner made rude remarks about his hair and tried to pick a fight with him. Towards the end of the evening around 9.30-10, the owner continued to hassle me to tell every one to go home. I tried to reason with him, everyone was having a nice time. It was a costly event, everyone was behaving and to have the owner then yelling ‘everyone get out’ at the end of the evening was not appropriate. The owner is a rude man.
