Table for 2 please. Sure would you like wet seats and bird poo at no extra cost. My partner and I are always hesitant at going out for breakfast as we can’t find a decent café . Well Coffee Cat has beautiful views . But that is all it offered us on Sunday morning 14/08/22 at 7.30.am. Im sorry but you really need to train your young staff. The café was not busy at that time we arrived. The staff were standing around chatting. We were not offered water. I had to go to counter to order, then get our own water. I made a mistake when I placed my order and forgot to order bacon so I went back to the counter to order bacon. 1st my pot of tea comes out, no sugar. Had to ask for that. Then my partners coffee came out about 5 min later again had to ask for sugar. 15 min later the bacon I forgot to order comes out to our table. Not our breakfast just a plate of bacon. The waitress was going to leave it on our table. I said no thank you I would like it with our breakfast. Remember I ordered at 7.30 it now after 8am. It’s not busy and finally our breakfast comes out. Bacon on wrong plate. The waitress walks away. No salt or pepper. So again I am up looking for salt and pepper. I sat back down to see 2 young waitresses standing at the counter were you wait to be seated having a chat about there night. I called out 4 times excuse me. And 1 waitresses finally came to our table and went and got some salt and pepper. Well breakfast was not worth $55. I ordered smashed avo on a muffin with 2 pouched eggs and no feta. My partner ordered scrambled eggs on toast. What we got was smashed avo with Feta and 2 hard pouched eggs with bacon, and greasy scrambled eggs on a plate with 2 pieces of toast. Both meals were cold and not something we could eat. I can’t eat cheese and my partner doesn’t like greasy eggs. I also called your staff waitresses. Well that isn’t really what the are. The are young and need training in customer service. Oh I am also from hospitality. Besides a great view. This café had nothing more then that to offer. Ps. I live in the area and have been to this cafe before for lunch and dinner. Thought breakfast might have been better. Very...
Read moreOh, where do I even begin with Coffee Cat On Kings Beach? What a disappointment! I recently had the misfortune of visiting this so-called coffee shop, and let me tell you, it was a complete disaster from start to finish
First off, let's talk about their utterly ridiculous policy of not allowing customers to sit inside and eat food. I mean, what kind of coffee shop refuses to serve food inside? Oh, wait, they don't serve food inside, but guess what? Apparently, that doesn't apply to everyone because when I was there, there were people sitting inside and munching away happily on their meals. Talk about inconsistency and hypocrisy!
The weather was horrendous, with winds blowing like a hurricane outside, and naturally, my party wanted to sit indoors where it's comfortable and, well, you know, civilized. But no, the Coffee Cat staff had other plans, apparently relishing in the sadistic pleasure of watching their customers freeze and struggle to eat their food in the gale outside.
The real icing on the cake was the customer service—or should I say, the complete lack thereof! The staff displayed a level of unprofessionalism that would make even the most indifferent fast-food joint blush. No one bothered to offer an explanation or even show the faintest hint of concern for our discomfort. It's almost like they enjoy driving customers away.
As a business, you'd think they'd prioritize making their patrons feel welcome and valued, but apparently, that's too much to ask for at Coffee Cat. Perhaps they take pleasure in seeing their customers flee to more sensible establishments with better service and more reasonable policies.
Well, Coffee Cat On Kings Beach, congratulations! You managed to lose not only our business but also any future chance of redemption. Your unprofessional ethics and appalling treatment of customers are simply inexcusable. Save your time and money, folks—steer clear of this place and head somewhere that actually values its customers and has a shred of...
Read moreCoffee Cat was the first step on our way to a week of celebrating our tenth anniversary. A coffee break by the seaside was a welcome stop on our journey.
Vibe 5 ⭐
Situated on the beach, the sand falling into the cracks on the sidewalk by the entrance, the waves rolling and the breeze blowing gently. The mangrove trees hug the outdoor seating area and provide support for dozens of fairy lights. The seating is stable, clean and comfortable. Large umbrellas cover the outside. We came in the afternoon, but it's clear to see how lovely this would be at night.
Service 5 ⭐
As we approached we were welcomed warmly, shown to our seats (offered inside seating or ocean view. We chose the outside area) and provided menus. We also heard that the menu is undergoing some changes and the staff were immediately forthcoming about some shortages they had before we continued. We ordered at the counter and our coffee was brought to us. Not a long wait time. Very friendly interactions from all staff.
Food 4 ⭐
We ordered a caramel milkshake and coffee frappe during our visit. The milkshake was standard across the board - sweet, milky, and the syrup used was not made in house but no complaints. The coffee frappe was sweet, cold and coffee was good. One thing to note was there was no garnishes on either drinks (cream, etc) and these weren't offered either.
Price 4 ⭐
All up today we paid $11.50 for two drinks. We enjoyed our experience and the location certainly factors into that price. For the lack of garnishes on the drinks and no offer to add for the price, we thought that could be improved upon.
Overall, this spot has a fantastic location, excellent staff and good quality drinks. We are excited to return in the future to try the meals. Thanks...
