Sugar mama's to me is the epitome of what Caloundra is all about. This eclectic little store invites you in with its sunny vibes and the promise of good quality sweets. The delicious waffle and coffee deal - to be enjoyed in moderation - tastes just as good as I imagine they would in Belgium, and comes with a stunning view of the beach. What is most remarkable about sugar mama's is not the unique decor, nor the amazing food and coffee, or even the view - it is the service at Sugar Mama's that is unmatched. Truly, one of the most fortunate experiences during my time back home has been going in on the regular to chat about life as if I were heading to a mates for a sesh. Indeed, the people at Sugar mama's have become an absolute fixture of the human landscape that makes Caloundra and more specifically Moffat Beach the best place to live in the world. The waffles are seriously next level 🧇 — fluffy, flavourful, and plated with so much creativity. But hands down, the star of the show is the Japanese waffle. It’s a brand-new flavour and honestly, the best I’ve ever had. Absolutely top-notch. 🥰

Another standout is the almond croissant waffle — the cream is AMAZING, with a dreamy texture that just melts in your mouth. 😍

The staff are super lovely and welcoming. A special shoutout to Bia, the chef — always smiling and making sure everything is just right. You can really feel the love she puts into every dish. 🩷

And if you’re into good coffee and top-quality chocolate… do yourself a favour and try the mocha. ☕ Hands down the best I’ve ever had.

At first I was a bit upset because we were waiting for our food for around 30 minutes but when we were served the server had told us the first batch of waffles had been messed up and offered us free coffee to make up for it. The waffles themselves were normal waffles but were displayed really nicely. They have so many different options and are amazing for accommodating different allergies and tollerences. The staff were really nice and very apologetic for the wait. You can tell they care about what they serve to customers and they make sure everything they send out is perfect to the best of their abilities. My mum had the vegan waffles and I had the normal ones which are gluten free by default. both were really good and the strawberries we had on top were very fresh. coffee was pretty good too.
