After a long day of travel and not much to eat we were scouring the internet for somewhere closeby that offered Chinese food. As an English person I am completely aware that our standards of this are somewhat confused, but the way we have it is delicious and I was really hoping to find something that came close! We found this place and it seemed to have the best reviews out of a pretty bad bunch. We thought we’d give it a go anyway. We had some chicken spring rolls to start and then a honey chicken portion, egg fried rice & a chowmein. The honey chicken was decent. There was plenty of it and it satisfied my craving for MSG and fat. On the other hand, the chowmein was very bog standard. Something you’d whip up at home with what was left in the fridge. The portion was big but it was rather tasteless so unfortunately portion size did not matter. The spring rolls were average - little filling and a great deal of pastry. The egg fried rice was in fact egg fried rice. The bill just fell short of 60 dollars which we found to be rather pricey for something so average and without a drink included. The menu was also very limited. Only a page or two of options which is usually uncommon for a Chinese. Salt and pepper chips (though not authentic) would NOT go a miss when they’re serving sticky prawn and chicken options. It’s also BYO. We nipped 5 minutes down the road to grab some beers mid-meal so be prepared for that if you’re planning on getting on the booze. Basically, wouldn’t write home about this place but the honey chicken did it’s job. Wouldn’t return unfortunately!

I had high hopes for Tang Dynasty Restaurant,(considering their displayed accolades) but unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. I ordered the braised mushroom with bok choy, expecting a flavorful, fresh dish. What I received was downright disappointing: a meager portion with barely rehydrated mushrooms—maybe three in total—and wilted, old bok choy. It felt like no effort was made, yet I was charged full price for this sad excuse of a vegetarian meal. My wife ordered the braised beef in black bean sauce, and it was overly salty, completely lacking any depth of flavor or nuance. She also tried the Shanghai pork buns, which were clearly frozen dumplings you could buy at the grocery store—rubbery, bland, and far from the quality you’d expect at a restaurant. Every dish lacked freshness, excitement, and flavor. This meal was not only a waste of money but also a disappointment from start to finish. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic or even decent food. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Very disappointed. Ordered 6 meat dishes, only few meat in each dish, rest all veggies and either too over cooked or not cooked at all. 红烧肉extremely hard to chew, 孜然羊肉has less than 10 pieces meat in total and no cumin flavor at all, 水煮鱼full of cabbage and only a couple of fish pieces which coated with too much flour. 锅包肉is just a version of sweet & sour pork without pineapple. 铁板牛柳is the same, only a couple of pieces meat, we have 6 people and only got one or two piece for each person. Too much vegetables 🥗 for meat dish and not worth the money paid. Fried rice are very hard to chew, like half cooked rice. 鱼香茄子has few eggplants but with all other veggies. 干炒牛河is the only dishes actually OK. Very sad for our bad choice and need to order pizza after. Not interested to take pictures anymore. 🙄😳

Once again, I returned to this restaurant and the flavors were fantastic! The staff remains as friendly as ever. I hope everyone continues to support this local business.

I can't say enough good things about this Chinese restaurant! The food here is absolutely amazing. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The menu offers a wide variety of mouthwatering dishes, and every item I've tried has been a flavor explosion. The flavors are authentic, and the ingredients are fresh. Whether you're a fan of classic favorites like Kung Pao Chicken or you prefer to try something new, this place has it all. The staff is friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic Chinese...
