We were group of three friends who visited this bar just few minutes ago. One of my friends went to grab chips from next shop. My friend drop the chips on the table that we were sitting outside and he went to the toilet. Me and my friend on the table just had one piece of chips and suddenly one of the security guards (Not the one with earing, another one)came in which was on duty on friday 15th of March and told us to get out from there. He threw away our three glasses of drinks. I asked him if we can finish the drink but he literally ignored us and kept on telling us to get out. He just misbehaved with us with was really unacceptable. I questioned him that why did he throw our drink which was paid by us but he did not give good response. He was really rude and was not acceptable at all. We could have removed the food from the table if he had requested us in a nice way. He really looked grumpy and angry. This was really bad experience that we had. Really disappoint with this security guard. It was quite stressful. Hope the management will take some action . Please note that we were not drunk if you have...
Read moreMy partner and I visited on Sunday it was his 30th Birthday and he wanted to go to the beach. We parked the car and thought Taps looked interesting from the outside. We are very pedantic with making sure we do what is required at all locations and signed in via the QR code as well as cleaned our hands. There was a couple inside taking a long time to view the menu so we found one online and decided what we wanted to order, when it was our turn to order we were snapped at that the online menu is out of date and you need to order from the laminate menu (extremely basic). I do not like to give reviews like this but we are in tough times and customer service needs to be a priority, snapping at customers for an error that is actually your restaurants fault is not okay not to mention it was my partners Birthday which we shouldn't need to announce and didn't but the whole experience was below par and we will be going to places that have good customer service. Just because we are in a pandemic is not an excuse to treat customers who are just as scared and spending their hard earned cash to help your...
Read moreOn his night off a bartender (he was blonde, had an English accent and a friend from cork with brown hair) that works at taps was drinking excessively at the venue with his friend. He began to talk about how he should be able to hit women, threatened to get me kicked me out (the security guard was his friend which was not fair) when I said that it was not okay to hit women. Admitted to using racist and homophobic slurs daily. Used his gender and power of his work position to belittle my friend and I, said offensive things about disabilities, sexualities, races and gender. Called me aggressive and crazy for saying he was wrong. Said offensive things about the colonisation of Australia and compared the fact that he doesn’t know his great grandmother to me, an indigenous woman, not knowing my great grandma from the stolen generation, calling it not a big deal. The whole time the security guard just watched until I ran out of the venue crying because of the man and still did nothing because they knew each...
