$15 per hour work, tried to use me when I was working. Less than minor wage. Is a illegal.
After one day dinner work i tried to figure out why you don’t give me a minimum wage on next day which was “22/Aug/17.” They said “because I don’t know you and we give you $15 cash per hour until you work very properly.”
After I continued the complaint, they kicked me out with these cash.
Ps: of course you know me
replay: I have asked the other bosses and workers about your method and said you guys is not appropriate way. Now im working way better place than your zone. So thank you for say that good luck.
Of course you cant satisfy someone forever if you try to take advantage.
Minimum Wage: In Australia, all workers are entitled to be paid at least the minimum wage as set by the Fair Work Commission, regardless of whether they are on a trial period or not. In Queensland, this would include full legal wages, superannuation, tax deductions, and proper documentation. Trial Periods: Employers can have a trial period for new employees, but that does not mean they can pay below the minimum wage or avoid paying proper taxes. Even during the trial, you're entitled to receive at least the minimum wage (currently around $23.23 per hour for adult workers as of 2023, depending on the specific industry and role). Cash Payments: While paying employees in cash isn't illegal by itself, it can become illegal if it's used to avoid tax obligations or other legal requirements, like superannuation or proper record-keeping. Employers are required to report earnings and pay taxes, so if the cash payments are unreported, this is considered under-the-table or illegal employment. Superannuation: Even if you're on a trial period, your employer is required to contribute to your superannuation (retirement fund) if you're earning more than $450 per month. If they don't do this, they are breaking the law. Unfair Treatment: In addition, paying you lower wages during a "trial" period that aren't in line with the award rate for the industry might be considered exploitation, which is illegal. Employers must provide fair wages for the work being done.

Read moreWho isn't looking for another bui to hang with? I agree, that was a heck of a stretch.
Walking into the restaurant, we were greeted by a young man at the register then another showed us to a table, provided menus, and the young man brought over a pitcher of cool water. The place is bright and clean.
Our order was taken at the table after some time to mull over the menu. The menu has your classic Vietnamese options. I ordered the Mongolian beef because I had the craving for some vegetables. This meal only comes with the meal and no rice. That is a separate order at $3 AUD.
The food came relatively quickly, not too long but not too fast either. This is a solid indication that the food is cooked to order. The food was also SUPER hot, temperature wise, so don't let your nose rush to your mouth. Take your time to take those first few bites.
As for the food, I felt there was WAY too much sauce. I like a good sauce but I don't want my food drowning in it. Don't put your rice in it otherwise you will consume all the sauce to eat your rice. The vegetables were fresh and what I craved. The beef was not very flavorful. I'm not sure if they didn't season the beef before cooking it but it was not great. The pieces were really large and should have been cut down. Lastly, the beef lacked any sort of color and was really overcooked.
While there is a lot of criticism in my review, I did enjoy the meal. It is not a damnation of the restaurant but, hopefully, some feedback that they can take action on to make it even better.
Would I go here again? Possibly. There are a lot of choices in this area but I may go back to...
Read moreWe had a fantastic dinner here on Saturday night with friends, and it was a memorable experience from start to finish. One of the perks of this spot is that it’s BYO, so we could bring along our favorite wines, with a reasonable $3.00 per person corkage fee.
Being huge fans of Banh Mi, we couldn’t resist ordering one, and it did not disappoint. We chose the Crispy Crackling Pork Belly Banh Mi, along with a variety of other dishes: seafood net spring rolls, grilled beef wrapped in betel leaf (Bo La Lot), Mongolian beef, and steamed rice. Each dish was a masterpiece of flavor, beautifully balanced and full of vibrant, fresh ingredients.
The Banh Mi was so good, we couldn’t resist ordering a second one—it was just that delicious! The pork belly was perfectly crispy, and the bread had the ideal balance of crunch and softness, with every bite packed with flavor.
The service was friendly and attentive, and we couldn’t praise the chefs enough for delivering such delightful dishes. It’s clear they take pride in their craft.
If I lived closer, this place would easily become my go-to spot for Banh Mi, but for now, it’s a must-visit every time I’m in town. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try—you won’t be...
