Being one of the hardcore Teppanyaki lovers since I was young, I have had many great teppanyaki in Sydney, Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and in China, I can say this with confidence that it is the best teppanyaki in Sydney and one of the best in Australia. Been a frequent visitor since 2020, the quality of food here, from the starters, sashimi to the mains prepared in front of you have been consistently well cooked and delicious, standing against the test of the pandamic and inflation. You can choose between one of their set menus or order a la carte, or a bit of both to what your stomach desires. There are fun games that the chef will play with you and your friends and families during the cook, or you could simply opt out to have a quiet, mouthwatering meal. The staffs here are absolutely friendly and welcoming, and there is simply nothing to fault except perhaps making you wanting to come back as soon as you leave the restaurant. There are free parking for 3 hours in a parking lot just 5 minutes away, or unlimited street parking behind, or simply take a train with the station less than 10 minutes of walk away, something you do not have to worry should you wish to give this restaurant a try.

Pretty stock standard teppenyaki restaurant. I went for the emperor set. The scallops and steak were the stand out dishes. Well cooked. At $189 for two people it felt rushed but good food and very full by the end. My only criticism had to be the part where the chef started aiming on purpose to avoid us catching cooked egg. Catching was the goal advised but he just started pelting it and just going hard with the shots. Literally going for your face or other parts of your body (he caught on to the how I was blocking the face shots). Didn't see this being done with other patrons. So maybe it was for the others to enjoy watching us being pelted. It just felt weird and uncomfortable so my reaction was to laugh it off like ok mate good on you well done. Catching of small bowls and a whole egg is the other part of the show which is fine to try.

Service was good. Sashimi wasn’t the best, fish was not fresh - understandable as they specialise in teppanyaki. The teppanyaki menu, on the other hand, was good. Portion was ok, the price is reasonable for the skills we got from the chefs. My only complaint is I personally dislike their “catch the egg” offer as it feels very disrespectful to the food. We didn’t do it, but the other two groups at the place that night did, and so much food was wasted onto the ground... The restaurant caters for all sort of people, and to some I understand that it is new and fun, but the act is obnoxious and disrespectful. A very non-Japanese thing to do.

Came here with a friend, we were seated with another group of 2. We had our appetisers while waiting for the chef to come prepare our meals. We watched from our seats the chef put on a show for the groups ahead and were eagerly anticipating our turn.

When our turn arrived, there was no show for us. Perhaps because we were a small group. I don't know. Usually with teppenyaki a small show is put on, some tricks, a high rise fire, some throwing of ingredients and different ways of cracking eggs or even writing with the cooking oil. None of this took place except for the cracking of the egg.

The food was okay, nothing to rave home about, it was mostly average.

You mostly come to these restaurants for a few laughs, dinner and entertainment. So it ruined the dinner for us, watching everyone else laughing and having a good time but when it came to our turn, we sat just watching him cook our food.

Word of advice if you're coming in a small group, don't get your expectations high as there is no performance. This is great for larger groups, as they do take the time to entertain you.

Perhaps this chef was having a bad night, I don't know. This is just my...

We booked here for my partner’s birthday last week, and expected good things because of the positive reviews we’d seen. On the night though, we were disappointed from start to finish. The restaurant is so cramped and run down, and service to get drinks was ridiculously slow. The food tasted nice (it would want to for the extremely high prices) but was not good value for money. The chef was in a huge rush to just cook it and put it on our plates. We had 5 different dishes in the space of about 8 minutes and then he threw the eggs at us to catch in bowls, made some fried rice, spelt out thank you in salt on the hot plate and left. We’ve done teppanyaki before and this was such a farce. Honestly we were in and out in less than 45 minutes, and 20 of those we spent waiting for our drinks. I tried ordering more drinks and asked for the menu again which itself took more than 5 minutes to get as she went and made other drinks first instead of just getting me the menu. We spent over $250 on a 45 minute experience that was disappointing and had such a rushed energy to move us out so they could get someone else to come pay the big prices for...
