Bashan Restaurant at Green Square is clearly popular, and the food is decent for the most part. I had the sweet and sour pork, which was fine, while my partner, a vegetarian, ordered a noodle dish that unfortunately had a bitter, meat-like taste. We were seated with a clear view of the kitchen, and it seemed like the cooking process was very fast-paced, with little to no visible cleaning between dishes—which raises concerns about cross-contamination, especially for vegetarian meals.

The service is minimal but sufficient. We were warned about the wait times, which we accepted, but it’s worth noting that Uber Eats and delivery orders seem to take priority over dine-in customers. While it’s great they’re doing well with online orders, it might be time to rethink the dine-in experience—customers eating in shouldn’t feel like just another ticket behind a...

Review from an Indian guy.

4/5.

Food : Ordered Fried rice egg and prawn, and Kung Pao Chicken. Fried rice egg and prawn : Felt a lil bland for my taste. But others may find it adequate. Kung Pao Chicken : Chicken was tender with peanuts and capsicum. Can try it out once.

Atmosphere : A decent cute place. But the receptionist was cutting spring onions on the reception counter when I entered and placed an order and later was peeling eggs. Not an issue and no problem. But just an observation.

Staff and service : Very sweet and friendly. Did recommend few dishes. But you have to take your own cutleries and water from a table near the reception.

Value : Great value for food - quality and quantity.

Can visit once.

Stating ‘ Review by an Indian guy ‘ because it may help others in terms of taste, spiciness and value for money. Not for any other...

Google Review for a Chinese Restaurant

⭐☆☆☆☆

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. First of all, the food was overloaded with MSG to the point that I felt extremely thirsty even before finishing my meal.

I also ordered dumplings, and when I checked the filling, I noticed the meat inside was very raw and undercooked. I asked them to cook it again, and they did, but they didn’t even bother to apologize for the mistake. To top it off, they returned the dumplings with one missing, which isn’t a big deal in itself, but it really shows their lack of care for customers.

Overall, the place felt like it was run by students with no proper management or attention to detail. The service was indifferent, and the atmosphere...

basically I became a regular customer here as the service, food standard are keeping in good level quick service and friendly every time, small kitchen but surprisingly it’s a pretty big menu and they do many things in house 👍🏾😋 I’m a big fan of their dandan noodle, it’s different from others, more dry and the sauce is tasty, love the spiciness too sesame ball with red bean is my fave too if you’re after sweet options I brought so many different friends over here for the causal Chinese noodle dinning experience, they all love it and there are many vegetarian options 🌱 so some of my veggie friends are fan of them already

For a place that seems to be really popular among locals, I really expected it to be better. I order the sweet and sour pork ($22), the salt and pepper prawns ($22) and two bowls of rice ($10). Shocking prices for two small bowls of rice. For these prices, you really expect a bigger portion of meat but instead I was shocked by single digit number of prawns, and sweet and sour pork was smaller than usual. Both dishes were below average and not worth ordering, we also ordered 30 minutes before we got our food, and plenty of customer who just walked in got their food before us. Not a great experience overall
