Back Row West is a recently opened café located in the lobby of the AON building at 201 Kent St, Sydney.
It has a beautiful spacious interior featuring high ceilings & a stylish contemporary wood décor.
It’s the perfect venue for a social catch up or a business lunch meeting.
The menu consists of delicious healthy food which arrives promptly.
The service is efficient and non-obtrusive.
All Back Row West water jugs contain a stick of charcoal in them. This is such a brilliant idea!
It draws out all the impurities so you are left with nothing but pure water, although it does look rather alarming when you see the charcoal in the water for the first time.
For my lunch there recently I had trouble choosing between the Albacore Tuna Poke Bowl and the Smoked Chicken Salad.
I was so happy with my final choice of the Smoked Chicken Salad. It tasted amazing, had wonderful contrasting textures and totally exceeded my expectations. It kept me satisfied all afternoon.
My dining companion loved her Angus Beef Noodles.
Back Row West has a good selection of healthy smoothies and cold pressed juices, as well as an impressive selection of coffees, and teas to choose from. There is a constantly changing iced tea special. On the day we visited it was a Sweet Cherry variety.
Wine, beer and cider is also available, as are juice bar cocktails.
My dining companion chose the Pink Dragon Fruit smoothie to start with which she tells me transported her instantly to a tropical island paradise!
My Watermelon, Apple and Basil juice was also wonderfully refreshing.
I highly recommend this venue and I will...

My go to order is eggs on toast with a side of bacon and a large flat white. Although the cost of a 2nd peice of toast is $4, I accepted it and the staff would normally give me a 2nd butter to go on it with the price included in the $4 extra toast.
But today I finally drew a line in the cost sand when advised that I be charged extra for the butter. Asking for $4 for a peice of toasted bread is one thing but having the hide to ask to pay for the butter that goes on that $4 peice of toast is having a laugh.
I advised the staff member that I had never been charged for the 2nd butter previously and was told butter is very expensive. I told the staff member this decision would cost the cafe a customer who has purchased from them for 7 years.
Long story about a piece of butter I know, but eventually you either sit in the boiling water as it gets hotter or get out . I have decided I'll need to take my $2000 annual...
Read moreHad such a beautiful lunch here! The pasta was incredible — fresh, silky ribbons of pappardelle with a rich, slow-cooked tomato and beef ragu that was bursting with flavour, perfectly balanced by a touch of creamy ricotta on top. You can really taste that everything’s made with care.
The drinks were just as impressive — refreshing, perfectly chilled, and beautifully presented (that spritz with mint and lemon was chef’s kiss). The whole vibe was relaxed yet classy, perfect for a sunny afternoon. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing.
Would 100% come back again — ideal for a casual date, a long lunch with friends, or just to treat yourself to great food and...
