This is a lovely experience but not a good dinner.

We left on time at Pier 1 on a bright Cook Cruise ship, there was warm bread waiting at the table though no butter for it. We were immediately served some sparkling wine which was lovely as we departed. Right after the ship left, the entree's came pouring out, a cold cous cous salad is what I think it was meant to be. It wasn't terrible not spectacular, just average.

It wouldn't have been ten minutes later that the mains appeared, warm plates indicating they'd been under lamps for a while. There was not steak option, only salmon, chicken, or eggplant. We opted for the chicken and were met with something quite sad. The chicken tasted a bit old, you know when it has that pungent chickeny flavour? It had spinach stuffed under the skin with barely any seasoning leaving it tasting like spinach and chicken. The roast vegetable served with it were ninety percent zucchini skin and onion with a total of three tiny three centimetre cuts of potato which were sadly delicious. Wish there was more.

Couple minutes later and we're whisked away with dessert, a "tiramisu tower", have you ever tasted slightly old mascarpone cheese? It's overly tangy and bitter. I think thats what was wrong, either that or too much liquer. There was a dash of chocolate sauce on the plate that tasted like Cottee's squeazy chocolate icecream topping.

All the while we were eating we had passed under the harbour bridge and we're looking back towards the Opera House. The meal was so quick that by the end of all the dining, we still had half a trip back. With no onboard entertainment your only options are staring out the window or photo shoots on the balcony. At tickets $100pp you'd think that things would be fresh and flavourful but you'd have a better dinner at the pub on $9.90 a meal night. So what you're really paying for is a trip around the harbour, hope you like other...

Had a very good experience last time around do thought of doing it again. I gave this business 5 star last time but want to degrade the same now. Today I booked high tea (15feb) 1.30pm cruise for mr and my wife. We had a very good experience last time with family and literally became a fan of this experience. But to my surprise this time level of service ruined everything Firstly, the staff is not courteous and didnt look like from hospitality industry. Last time the person served us introduced himself and took care us with a smile This time staff doesnt have a clue about how to do anything. The messup started with the person who served us ( no name tag so cant name her). She took our food preference as strictly vegetarian and went in the back to get our sweet and savoury delights. It looked tempting at first and I took a bite of the pie served. To my surprise the taste sound weird and I had puking feeling. Upon investigation I realised it is not veg and have some flesh in it. My wife took a look at other stuff and that looked the same .

This offset my mood from the start and that strong taste kept lingering on my tounge and mind. We complained about the same and the server took it casually and took the plate with meat served in the kitchen. After few mins returned with a replacement with no apology but with a explanation that it might have mixed up in the kitchen. Does it need to be that casual?? She didnt realise the gravity of the situation of a hardcore vegetarian person to have a taste of meat in his mouth and senses.

How can such a brand can hire such unprofessional people. Are we cutting cost here by employing people who does not come from hospitality background.

Unfortunately today is my last visit to this company offered service. And would make sure others like me dont get fooled by the brand name.

This is so unprofessional and...

Wow. Am I glad we went ahead and did this cruise because I was considering not booking. We did the early lunch time cruise and it was phenomenal. The food was amazing - so tasty and one of our party members is normally a picky eater and she absolutely loved all of the 3 course meal. The price was very well worth the cruise and if anything, I was surprised that the cruise was on the cheaper side. We boarded on time and went to the lounge where we ordered drinks before heading upstairs to another level where lunch would be served. On the boat, it stops at another location to pick up more people and it does a few rounds of the harbour and you can get off at anytime wherever you like (ours stopped at King St Wharf and Circular Key). I had the salmon for my main meal and it was the nicest salmon I have ever eaten. The other members of our party had the red meat which they said melted in their mouth. I had the coconut desert and it was amazing! On our way out, 2 of us went up the top deck where there was absolutely no one and we saw the Sydney harbour bridge and opera house with no one obstructing our views! It was so well organised, the staff were very friendly and they would ask if you were in a rush to get off the boat at a particular point as they would then bring your meal out quicker. It was so relaxing sitting in the sun coming through the windows, watching the world go by and seeing many Sydney iconic things. I highly recommend and will more than likely return to do this cruise again - the food was amazing as was the service, the cruise itself, the boat was clean. I cannot say enough good things about this cruise. It needs 6...

We took out your group on today - overall it was 85% good just a few things could of been much better when dealing with a large international group On checkin staff not really helpful (particularly as we had never done this cruise before - we were cancelled off another so the office had re booked us with captain cook) Would of been great to be told that there was a group area and where to board (we found out later when one of the crew asked if we were a group) We were seated in a great spot and everyone was happy The staff were confused once on board with who to provide with what order wise (food and drinks) - they were very sweet and kind just unsure Delivery of food was a little confusing as they didn’t know who was having what - again they were very kind about it and we worked it out in the end Dealing with international guests and I had many Americans - their phones do not work well with QR codes if at all here in Australia so I felt they missed a little of the commentary The staff were very kind helping with hard copy information which was great Drinks and food were good - everyone enjoyed that snd the cruise Thank - you well worth a visit !
