Bar Copo — Restaurant in Sydney

Very nice Brazilian Style bar in Bondi. The location is just perfect for an afternoon sunset drinks. The bar in on a corner that you can get the fresh breeze from Bondi Beach, while you watch people walking on the streets and have a nice and cold beer.

The bar name aligns with the service, Copo that in portugueses is Cup, uses the most iconic cup from Brazil Copo Americano. That we uses for drinking coffee in the morning and have beer at night.

The place has iconic Brazilian music playing all the time, from samba classics, up to classic Brazilian 90 songs and some Brazilian Pop music. In few places of the bar the music was very loud, but in general amazing atmosphere.

The food, the portions vary according to the dish. Some seemed a little bit small for the price, like the coalhada and the empanadas. Just to be very clear, they were very good. The chicharron (Torresmo), was very good with an amazing crispy skin. But the sandwiches, ow god! That was a real treat, we had the X-pollo and the choripan, delicious and good size. If you are hungry, recommend to have the sandwich.

They sell a 1L bottle to your table, is the best value for money. The beer is light, and that helps to bring the Brazilian vibe.

And, to finalize we were there when they had a Sydney Choro Club there. Is a group playing the Brazilian music genre called Choro. They go there every 2 weeks and is just amazing listen to them...

I just went to eat at a restaurant where I ordered a sandwich. When the sandwich arrived, there was a hair embedded in the bread, which I pointed out to the waiter, telling him that everything was fine, things happen, but if they could bring another one. I showed him that the hair was in the bread, and it wasn’t easy to remove since it was really inside the dough.

The waiter took it back to the kitchen (which is open), and I saw that he just removed the hair, brought the same sandwich back, and left. When I opened the sandwich, I could still see traces of hair inside the dough, which I found unacceptable. Without wanting to make a fuss, I simply said that I wouldn’t eat it. I paid the full bill (beer, fries and sandwich), and I didn’t see any effort on their part to offer a discount for the sandwich or even an apology. So, I just...

Put my name on the waiting list and she said she was going to call me "never called" waited for 20min, after one table became available I still waited for another 10min, I was at the front of the restaurant observing. I had to go and ask if the table was available and she said yes it is, 5min before she was asking everyone if they wanted anything from the kitchen as it was going to close at 10pm. I sat on the table at 9:50 at 9:56 they came to clean and I was going to order and the guy said the kitchen is closed. I was so upset, I spent 30min waiting on the table at the front of the restaurant, there was people drinking shots on the table at the front completely drunk talking so loud.
