First time going to Bar Reggio and it's a really beautiful and very lively
Our servers were very good and on top of everything taking us to our tables.
We got our water and look at the menu.
For entree got the cold Italian meats and Bruschetta pizza. The cold meats were not your average Deli meats the Salami was amazing and Mortadella was nothing I've ever had before. We put the cold meats on the bruschetta pizza and went so well
For main dishes we got three dishes to share first one was Pollo Broccoli a creamy Broccoli and chicken spaghetti, Chicken Milanese with spaghetti Bolognese as the side dish and Lamb Cutlets with mash and veggies
Both pasta dishes were cooked perfectly Al Dente, the broccoli was cooked perfectly still with a crunch, the chicken was soft and moist with a perfectly creamy sauce
The spaghetti Bolognese had a depth of flavour that was so gorgeous and the red wine in the sauce was perfect one of the best Bolognese sauces I've ever had
The chicken Milanese came out and it was massive and definitely worth it perfectly cooked and crunchy too.
The lamb cutlets were Juicy and perfectly cooked.
For dessert we had the Tiramisu which had great coffee flavor and perfect also had the Baked Ricotta cheese cake which came with cream that had a dusting of cinnamon which went perfectly each bite was a perfect bite.
Definitely a 10/10 experience from the food to the...

Bar Reggio is easily my favourite Italian restaurant in Sydney and certainly in my Top 3 overall. Never have I ever had such casual excellence so consistently. Delicious food: done. Friendly service from people who genuinely care: in spades! Atmosphere: authentically Italian. It's BYO so technically their drink range is infinite and whatever you desire and then on top of all of that, the value is simply insane.
I cannot overstate how important a place like this is for a cultural melting pot like Sydney and more specifically for a 3rd generation Italian Australian like me. This is the truest form of Italian hospitality allowing anyone and everyone who enters this Sydney institution to experience in sensationally casual fashion: la dolce vita. If it were up to me this place would be listed as a world heritage site and I hope to be coming here for decades more.
To end, I want to make sure each and every staff member gets not just a thank you from me writing this right now but every single person you have ever served, your service, food, and venue are truly...
Read moreWhat a fantastic establishment. Traditional hearty Italian This place is LOUD, but a “good” LOUD.
Food is good (not “top end” but tasty nonetheless) and BYO.
Atmosphere is AAA+++
The minute you walk in the door, it feels like you have entered a busy restaurant in Naples.
The service and atmosphere feel like you are in Naples. Have always enjoyed my dining experience here over the years.
This time (April 2024) we had: Gnocchi Gorgonzola….. was “light” I like a strong cheese, the dish served tonight was mild and a bit tasteless. (the Gnocchi were al dente)
The Seafood Marinara was also a bit on the bland side and needed a bit of “oomph”. The pasta cooked to perfection.
Puzzling as I have had both these dishes here on previous occasions and always been very satisfied.
The winner, a special on the board, Spaghetti Mussels with chili Napoli sauce (I think it is also on the regular menu) EXCEPTIONAL!!!
Forget the long lunch or long dinner. Get there on time if you have a booking. Both lunch and dinner have a 2-hour sitting only. You will be asked to leave, the Napoli way.
It is an institution. GO! You will not be...
