Excellent sushi! My local for over 20 years! Always outstanding and friendly service by the owner! The sushi here is simply exceptional. Every piece showcases the freshness and quality of ingredients, from buttery, melt-in-your-mouth sashimi to perfectly seasoned rice that holds each roll together. Standout dishes include: Omakase Set – A chef’s choice selection of the freshest seasonal fish, beautifully presented. Toro Nigiri – The fatty tuna is incredibly rich and delicate. Dragon Roll – A creative and flavourful roll featuring eel, avocado, and a light drizzle of eel sauce. Uni (Sea Urchin) Sushi – A must-try for seafood lovers, with a creamy and slightly sweet taste. Every dish is prepared with precision and artistry, making it a true feast for both the palate and the eyes.

I ordered two salmon salads (one cooked salmon at $17.60 and the other sashimi at $15.20) as well as a salmon roll ($5.60) and a spicy tuna roll ($7.20) through Uber eats. I was EXTREMELY disappointed at the quality of food and the portions. The salads were basically a garden salad from A packet with about 5 small pieces of salmon. I counted two thin slices of cucumber and a couple of shreds of carrot in one salad, apart from that, nothing else but lettuce!!!! Also, the sushi rolls were tiny!!! There were 5 mini pieces of each which would amount to probably half of a normal sushi roll you buy at any good Japanese. I could not believe my eyes. I will never order from sushi on Stanley again.

Me personally, i would reconmend trying out the grilled salmon sushi. It's something not many people would buy or see on the menu. It's 2 grilled salmon sushi for 5 dollars but its absolutely worth it. It brings back your appetite, and melts in your mouth. Litterally one of the best sushi to eat. I reconmend getting the 2 grilled salmon sushi for 5 dollars to taste test it and then order more afterwards. 10/10. Other places when you buy grilled sushi, its cold or just has a 5/10 taste. Personally, id go for the grilled salmon sushi.

I visited with a couple of mates straight after work as we know this place gets pretty packed around dinner time. If you want good-for-value, casual Japanese dining and willing to wait when visiting around dinner time, this is the place to go. You can get lucky with some ticket parking on the streets... Food ALWAYS tastes good here! The portions are great in that you don't get overly full and you leave feeling satiated with a bento or a combo deal. We all had the eel bento. It normally comes with a little portion of fruit but they served like a cheap square of chocolate cake the day we visited. I would've much preferred the fruit but otherwise, we've always had a good experience here. To fault, the restaurant is quite small. Seating is maybe limited to about 20 patrons at a time, however they do take away (but you know, the fun in actually dining in with mates). Wait service is okay. You should probably go to the loo before arriving coz there isn't one at the restaurant. Although there is a little pub on a nearby corner that may be willing to let you use...

Wow, my mouth is watering and I’m full.

I went to Sushi on Stanley on the 7th of October, I was just walking by when this establishment enthused my gaze. The service woman was so kind and hospitable, but somehow, the food matched the service. Even though it was a brief exchange, I was thoroughly impressed. The chicken Katsu sushi was delicious, warm and crunchy as it had just been made. I’m so used to being disappointed in what is often labeled “chicken Katsu”, but, I’m confident that they delivered. The rice and chicken was fresh and crunchy; so satisfying, like the smell of petroleum at a gas station. l wish that I lived right next door, so that I could go here every night. Although, if this were the case, I would become fat, from eating so much, and spend all...
