At first glance, the breakfast looked like it might deliver a satisfying experienceâbut unfortunately, it fell short on nearly every front. Oddly enough, it brought back memories of the bland, uninspired hotel buffets from the 1990sâsomething I never expected to relive in 2025.
Bacon: This was the most jarring part of the dish. Overcooked to the point of being brittle, it was like chewing on a crisped-up memory from the past. It instantly reminded me of those rock-hard leftovers youâd find at a hotel buffetâwhen you come in late for breakfast and all thatâs left is whateverâs been sitting under the heat lamp for too long. You donât want it, but you eat it anyway.
Scrambled Eggs: Technically scrambled, but cooked so firm and dry it missed the mark completely. If thereâs no intention to preserve the soft, creamy texture that makes scrambled eggs enjoyable, then whatâs the point? Just offer a fried or hard-boiled egg instead. This felt like effort wasted.
Bread: The bread was decentâclearly sourced from an external bakery, with nice texture and flavour. But when the highlight of the plate is something brought in from a supplier, you start to wonder whether the price tag is more about markup than actual value.
Spinach: A few lonely leaves tossed on the plate, adding neither flavour nor substance. It felt more like garnish than a genuine part of the dish. If youâre going to include greens, do it properlyâgive them a light toss in olive oil or a gentle sautĂŠ. Otherwise, itâs just filler.
Mushrooms: Hard to tell whether they came from a can or were just poorly cooked. Either way, the taste and texture once again sent me straight back to those hotel buffets from the 90sâwhere whatâs left in the tray isnât great, but you still take a scoop because you feel like you have to get your moneyâs worth.
Coffee: It was fine, but in the context of the rest of the meal, it didnât do much to lift the experience.
In the end, this felt like a breakfast that was all presentation and little care behind the scenes. For the price, I expected more than just edible nostalgia. Thanks, Billâs, for the trip down memory laneâbut next time, Iâd prefer my childhood memories to stay in the past.

Had a surprisingly poor experience on Saturday, August 23rd at 2:30 PM â quite a contrast to previous visits.
We walked in without a reservation and were seated within 10â15 minutes by a host doing the most. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there.
Our server, Chris, was visibly annoyed and rude to us. When a napkin slipped from his hand and landed on the ground, I picked it up and placed it on the table. He told me to âthrow it,â but it felt weird to throw trash into the bushes?!
He proceeded to place the same napkin in front of my friend, and when we asked for a replacement, he responded with a sulky, âBut she picked it up! I told her to throw it!â It was unprofessional and not what you expect from an institution like Bills.
We waited over 30 minutes for our food. By this time, Chris (apparently on his break) sat nearby, made eye contact, and smirked. When we asked another server for an update, he shrugged and said something along the lines of, âNot my section, I just started.â
Eventually, the manager came over and explained our order had never been sent to the kitchen. She promised, "the pancakes would be out in 10 minutes. And we'll get your drinks out immediately.â
Despite our hesitation, she assured us it won't be long. So, we agreed as we were starving by this point. Now, she said the food would come out in 15 mins â maybe she wanted to manage expectations? When we asked for drinks to come out first, she replied, âoops, sorry weâre sold out.â
We can't help but think the server did this intentionally to mess with us after the napkin incident â especially since he came out and looked in our direction the entire time he was on break.
Additionally, there were other tables waiting just as long as us â but some at least had drinks on the table.
A disappointing and confusing...
Read moreTodayâs visit to bill over all was very disappointed. The manager there today was extremely rude .
It was very nice when we first came in , the waiter ( have cool tattoo) was really friendly and give us a nice table also placed our order . (Which I would love to give the one star âď¸ to him )
The hotcakes no longer hot , fluffy, cheesy ⌠I totally understand you guys need to collect the plate , but we were there not even half hour the girl who( wore denim top I guess is the manager ) came to my table to collect the plates, at that moment my regular coffee still have half full and warm sit on the table , my napkin I have not get a chance to use it , she collect my unused napkin on the plate . I look at her said â I have not use the napkin yetâ she literally grab the napkin from the hot pancakes plate and put it back on the table , I feel very offended. how could you treat a customer like that ?where is your hygiene and professional? To me Itâs the same like you put the food in the trash then pick it up and put back on the table . Totally ruined our brunch catch up .
When I came to pay for the bill , the waiter ask me how was everything, which I told him my experience, and this manager came to me , said she remember the napkin( which she clearly knew she did not do the right things and did not even offer can she get a new napkin for me from her profession) ⌠at the end she said sorry for the service, but to me I really do not feel she is sincerely feel sorry for what has happened. Such a pool behavior from a manager, I doubt how she can train and manage the restaurant. I would not have any confidence to recommend any of my friends to visit bills . I do not think any of customer deserve to be treated that way .
I miss the old bills . The service back then ...
