It has very limited seats, is not comfortable dining environment, compares it with nearby cafes and restaurants. The dish prices are higher than other Vietnamese restaurants in nearby suburbs. The portion of dishes are small. The waiter made solo and couple customers sat at the bench facing to the wall which are not comfortable seating. They moved the solo diners to give space for couples. They keep pushing customers away because lack of seats. The only one unisex toilet entry is very narrow and inside is tiny. The air circulation inside the dining area is not good. I started to have flu symptoms shortly after dining in this restaurant and getting worse within 12 hours, I finally fell very sick with flu symptoms three days after having a dinner in there. **************** I dropped by Bonjour Vietnam during a quiet lunch hour and was pleasantly surprised by the improved customer service. The staff were attentive and friendly, likely helped by the non-peak timing, which made for a more relaxed dining experience. The food quality has definitely stepped up since my last visit. Dishes were generously portioned, packed with fresh ingredients, and left me feeling satisfied without being overly heavy. It’s clear they’ve made an effort to enhance both flavour and value. That said, a couple of things still need attention. I was handed a menu with a broken cover, which made it awkward to hold and flip through—especially when trying to read the second page. It’s a small detail, but one that affects the overall impression. Also worth noting: they apply a surcharge for credit card payments that’s slightly higher than what you’d expect at similar restaurants. It’s not a dealbreaker, but something to be aware of if you're watching your budget. Overall, a solid lunch spot with noticeable improvements, though a few quirks remain.

We finally tried this Vietnamese spot on a Saturday lunch after passing by it a few times and it did not disappoint. The space is small and busy, not the most comfortable to dine in since it was so packed, but the lady staff taking care of everything is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Deciding on appetizers was tough, but the spring rolls came highly recommended for first-timers, and they were next level - freshly made, perfectly crispy, and bursting with flavor, unlike anything we had outside. The beef pho was hands-down the best I’ve had in ages. The broth was rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced, and every spoonful felt comforting and satisfying, a perfect warm bowl after our workout. The Bun Bo Hue was refreshing and flavorful, with a delicate hint of lemongrass that added a unique twist we really enjoyed. Every dish clearly showed care and love. The only minor hiccup was that the usual sides with pho beansprouts, mint, and lemon weren’t served until we noticed other tables had them and requested them, which was a little disappointing since we were almost finished with the pho. We will definitely be back for the pho and to try other dishes. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic, fresh Vietnamese flavors!

What an absolutely fantastic dining experience! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. We ordered a variety of dishes and every single one was outstanding - the spring rolls were perfectly crispy, the golden bites were delicious, and the chef’s special tender beef stew was incredibly flavorful and comforting. The Hue style lemongrass beef noodle was a standout with its fresh, aromatic broth, and we finished with the imperial tropical fruit dessert which was the perfect sweet ending to our meal. The food quality was exceptional - everything tasted fresh and was clearly prepared with care. We also tried the frozen sweet and salted lemon plum drink and the salted coffee, both of which were unique and refreshing. The atmosphere was wonderful too, with music that created the perfect ambiance for our dinner. The service was incredible throughout our visit. We’re already planning to return soon to try their lunch menu - if it’s anything like dinner, we’re in for another treat! Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for authentic, delicious food and excellent service.

Today's delightful experience at Bonjour Vietnam at Lindfield

My wife called to place the order an order at 11.58am, she was told that the order will take 15mins.

I arrived at the store at 12.15pm to pick up the order after waiting nearby which I was told it was 5 mins away. I paid for the order upfront.

Once I paid for the order, I was told to wait on the busy road with my son. I asked your employee if the order would be brought out? Which she replied, Yes.

After noticing a party of 3 that walked in after me and was seated was served their meals, I realised it had now been over 30mins. I asked your employee to follow up on an order under Anthony. She completely ignored me. Her only concern was to fill the vacant seats in the venue.

When I returned in the store to follow up on the progress of the order "under Anthony", it took multiple attempts to clarify my name, lucky I had the copy of the receipt because the response seemed as if they had no clue of the order.

I had to ask again what happed to the order? Have you given it to someone else, they responded, Yes. I was told without empathy that to remake the order it would take 15 minutes. Out of total frustration I demanded a refund.

Upon calling to discuss this experience with Oanh who claimed to be the owner seemed apologetic at the time. She sent through a follow up text message offering entrees "On the house" as a small gesture of appreciation during our next visit.

I appreciate the offer of an entree but after this experience an offer of just an entree...
