I visited Café 35 for the first time and placed a to-go order 20 minutes ago, spending over $60 as the menu options sounded great and reasonably priced. While there were some positives, my experience was unfortunately disappointing overall.

The coffee I ordered for my partner felt half empty when I picked it up. Upon checking, the cup was mostly foam. I chose not to say anything as the girl at the counter was very friendly, and I didn’t want to make a fuss.

When I got home, my halloumi veggie burger was a major letdown. The back bun was completely soaked, and I had specifically requested no tomato, but there was tomato inside. The entire burger was squashed as well as soggy and fell apart as soon as I picked it up. As well as the chips were unsalted.

On the brighter side, the sujuk and egg wrap was delicious, and the brekkie burgers were well-made and customised exactly as I requested so I’m a bit confused why my burger wasn’t. These items were tasty, which saved the experience slightly.

While some items impressed me, the issues with my burger and coffee left me questioning whether I’d return. I will most likely give it another try,...

Rated a 2 overall 2 for food, 2 for service and 1 for atmosphere.

I ordered a Bacon and Egg Wrap but it was so soggy the actual wrap itself was wet.

The service was ok but there was nobody at the front when I walked in, they have a stupid electornic menu board which has all these stupid promos but doesn't show the full menu. It does say there is a full menu available but I normally like to be greeted at a food outlet and be able to see my options.

Lastly the atmosphere I rated a one, I went in the middle of Winter it was so cold in there they had the heater off, I changed seats twice cause the sun also hits directly into the store and the windows are not tinted.

Prices weren't exactly...

I will only give a rating for the food as it was delivered. Dry, burnt chicken schnitzel burger. Absurd price for the lack of quality and missing drink. Chips were so salty I threw them out, the handfull I did eat basically provided my weeks worth of sodium . I don't leave reviews often but I was so disappointed given that most of the reviews were good. I can excuse meat being a bit dry or overcooked but it had no taste and the bun was soggier and more wrinkled than a waterlogged corpse found in the bottom of warragamba dam. Extremely dissatisfied.

Edit: I also just noticed that the first three (out of 5) menulog reviews, are all written by 'Lisa' who decided they deserved five...

This place is the Lebanese Grill rebranded into a cafe. Quite good food, and the only option for middle eastern food in the area (aside from Cedrus). The menu has been expanded to include more cafe style items. The mixed grill is good, but it is cooked over a gas grill/BBQ so you don't get the smoky coal flavours. Also I felt the chicken and the lamb skewers were a bit overcooked and the meat was a bit tough. The sausage mince kebab was great though. Tabouli was good, as was the hummus and and Baba Ganoush, but I feel like for the price there should be something extra as well (e.g. falafel) Service is nice and friendly, and the decor is comfortable
