Resunga Nepalese Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Sydney

We are regular customers at Resunga, visiting the restaurant after a long time and it was a very lovely experience as always.

🥟 The tastiest dish was Mixed Chowmien with huge serving size. Chicken lollipop was indeed a must-have option and Buff Momo was so flavourful. Everything were so fresh, tasty and felt like homemade.

🧑‍🍳 The staff were very helpful and eager to ask for feedback when they knew we were return customer 💯💯💯

🇳🇵 It was nice to see their efforts in trying to grow the business. I am sure their vast menu will have something for everyone, now that they even added breakfast items. Highly recommend for new experience!!!

🙏 Meanwhile, there is a small suggestion that I want to let the team know. Although their new menu is a great improvement to the old one, I am looking forward to a more minimally / concisely designed and focused menu in the future as it might help their new customers deciding what to order. Especially to the West Ryde community that may not be familiar with Nepalese amazing cuisine.

A coherent menu with some eye catching photos (especially for breakfast options), a seperate section for recommended dishes and a section for a deal / bundle for family might attract more customers.

I think the more I come in contact with Nepalese people and their food, the more I love them. Good old hard working honest community with no short cuts in customer service, work ethics or their food. Today I had the absolute pleasure of trying out their Veg Jhol Momos made spicy. I loved them so much that I took two extra servings home for the kids and the family. Great job yet again team Rasunga … a job well done again. I would give you 10 stars for today’s food if I could ❤️❤️

Three of us went for dinner here on Saturday the 07th of June. We ordered veg steam Momos, veg chilli Momos and veg Chowmein. All Momos were perfect and the sauces were pretty good. Chowmein was also ok but it could have spent a bit more time in the wok on high heat as they were a bit too soft for my liking but still good. All in all the food was definitely fresh with amazing and smiling service from the young girl host who said she worked there every Saturday. She was amazing, courteous and did her job with a smile and enthusiasm which is rare these.

The restaurant has a very cozy feel, is neat and clean and well laid out.

We would definitely come back guys. Keep up...

This was our first time here, and honestly, we’re really disappointed with the experience. The woman at the front was polite, but she spent most of the time on her phone and didn’t check in on us even once to see if everything was okay.

We ordered two thalis—one goat and one chicken—as well as the chicken lollipop. For $26 and $27 for thali, what we received was extremely underwhelming. Each thali came with just two small pieces of meat, and while there were other sides included, all of them were in very small portions too. It felt more like a sampler than a full meal. For that price, we expected generous and satisfying portions, but instead, we felt shortchanged.

The chicken lollipop was okay, but nothing special enough to make up for the rest of the experience. The atmosphere itself was nice, but unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to make up for the lack of service and the disappointing food.
