CHER THAI CUISINE — Restaurant in Sydney

Tuesday night dinner, seated at 7:45pm, party of two. Ordered the beef pad see ew (recommended by one of their team members), chicken green curry, coconut rice, and roti - we cleared our plates. Food was delicious and tasted authentic with a nice wok char flavour to the noodles (not the Westernised versions that are commonly available in the city), normal portion sizes (suggest to order 1 dish per person). Food took about 15-20 minutes to be served after ordering (there were other parties seated and delivery ordered being prepared). For seating, there is 1x 2 seater, 1 x 4 seater, and 2 large ~6-8 seaters that can be used for larger groups or community style seating. This restaurant is a welcome addition to the Leichhardt neighborhood; we will definitely become regulars. Thank you team Cher Thai!

Very minor items for the team to consider improving (not related to the 5-star food): Front door entry is very awkward as the front door cannot open internally fully due to the floor entry design. The team was very busy so two tables had dirty dishware on them from previous diners that remained for the first ~5 minutes upon arrival - suggest to turn those table around quicker to invite new diners in to...

A cozy little restaurant on the corner of the street with street parking. It was 70% full when I arrived on Sunday night. The restaurant is quite busy, with a lot of people walking in and out for takeaway or deliveries.

The food took around 20 minutes to arrive. The pork skewers were nice, they were chunks of meat interlinked with fat.

The owners were incredibly nice. I originally ordered the Fried Barrimundi as I was keen to try it and saw it under the Cher Thai special.

However, after we had had our entree, the owner informed us they had run out of Barrimundi and offered to replace it with TWO salmon cutlets. She was very apologetic and we gladly accepted the offer.

I usually don't order dishes like these. However I must admit this was delicious. The sauce was incredible. Best way I can describe is it's chilli with a bit of bite to it? It's fantastic as salad dressing. I can't believe I'm saying this but I actually liked the salad more than the salmon.
