These Pies are deliciously home made from the heart. We had the pleasure in enjoying these during lockdown at our local Organica in Concord. However, since they stopped making them. We were advised Leichhardt had opened and they now stock the pies.
My children really felt like the pies again today. I called up Leichhardt in the afternoon to make sure they had them in stock before I drove out 15 minutes to purchase them. I spoke to Lulu over the phone at Leichhardt Organica. She told me that they had just finished baking a fresh batch of pies. I told her I would try to make it there after school pickup. She offered to leave some aside. I told her I was in Concord and may not be able to pick up the kids from school and drive all the way to Leichhardt in time. She then offered to drop it off at Concord Organica, as she was headed there. I was speechless. I am beyond impressed. Organica is a big part of our family and we are regulars but this is truly the cherry on top.
There aren’t that many people out there that would go over and beyond. In fact, most people do the minimum for others at other businesses. To my surprise when she offered to drop the pies off at Concord she made it seem effortless. She made me feel like family. A business that makes any customer feel like family is a business worth speaking up about and praising. I’ve never left a review on Organica’s page but this is definitely worth noting.
Lulu, I can’t thank you enough! My three children devoured the 6 pies & it saved me having to make dinner. They were still crispy and hot. What a perfect way to end a Monday. You truly made our day.
Thank you for your sincerity, effort, pleasant manner, kindness & outstanding service. You truly went...

1, I arrived when the place had all but two tables occupied, 6 patrons in total, and all were already eating. Sign at the front says please wait to be seated. The only waitress in sight is leaning against the wall playing on her phone, barista looked at me then went back to her coffee making without alerting her colleague to tend to the customer in the queue of 1.
A few minutes later we were finally sat at a table. Ordered water and salmon for my already very hungry child. Thought how long would it take to cook a salmon when it’s the only order.
20 minutes later and after asking 3 times the water arrived. Another 20 minutes later the salmon is still not out. Table next to me turned around and said: we also waited for half an hour just to get water.
I ended up having to go to another cafe in the centre, where we were served our order...
Read moreWe were lured in by the beauty of this coffee shop - unfortunately that is pretty much the only good thing about this place. The waitress who served us was completely unprofessional and clearly does not belong in hospitality. She never smiled once, did not bring us water, and got my order wrong, despite me telling her several times how I want my order, with her nodding in agreement. Turns out her English level was insufficient to understand what "eggs done on both sides" means. For this she didn't really apologize and instead tried to blame me. As I didn't feel like making a big issue and ruin the mood further, I just said never mind. The food itself was average at best, and quite overpriced. For $22 you'd expect a handsome serving of smashed avocado with a whole lot of extras, not a meager one slice with very little feta cheese. And for $25, you'd expect a premium quality burger that is not overcooked. Overall very...
