Pretty average atmosphere with disappointing customer service. I never ate their food but had bought many many coffees from them for months and used their âloyalty coffee cardsâ which they keep and pin on the board when youâre entitled to a free coffee. They lost mine and when I told them I should have one, instead of apologising and acknowledging that it might have been misplaced or given to someone else by mistake, the girl told me my partner had used it, which wasnât true! Then repeatedly asked me âare you sure you havenât used it?!!â which to me implied that I was either lying or forgetting (within 3 days?!) then asked me when EXACTLY did I last get a coffee etc etc at which point I was over the interrogation.. I obviously didnât expect to be given a free coffee but the right thing to do, as good customer service, would have been to acknowledge it might have been lost/given to someone else with a similar name and just give me a new card with an extra punch for the future coffees. That was the last coffee I bought from them and will not...
Read moreGreat little local cafe serving up an array of vegetarian and gluten free burger, brekky, salad and sweet treat options. FOOD: They have varied gluten free and vegan sweet treats and gluten free bread. The menu is typical deep fried, brekky cook up, burgers etc with a strong Asian slant to it. The marble gluten free cookies are really good... Although careful as they don't seem to know anything able coeliacs so do put everything together, touching sadly. ACCESSIBILITY: Train and bus routes 5-10 minutes walk away. Some on street parking available. Wheelchair, walker and pram friendly. INTERIOR/EXTERIOR: Modern simple, light and bright interior with seating outside, perfect for those with kids or pets. STAFF: Friendly, short, frank and effective... although not as efficient as elsewhere. They place is always clean and they often have newspapers available. OVERALL: It's pretty good. I'm into healthier options so likely wouldn't frequent it too often. I'd...
Read moreIrony that it's called cafe Yolk. I have been here twice and specifically asked for eggs with a runny yolk. Both times the eggs have been ridiculously over-cooked. Not only that, when I sent it back the second time the cook came out and insisted that the eggs were runny. It was farcical. He either didn't know what a runny yolk meant, or he was lying to my face. Right there in front of an egg that was rock hard.
Avoid this place at all cost. Rude, ignorant staff that will either ignore your request or...
