I was thoroughly impressed with the coffee especially being from Melbourne where a small strong almond coffee can cost me $6 Foodcraft Espresso starting point for a small coffee is only $3.80 even with added costs for alternative milks and extra shots still is much cheaper! Most importantly the barista knows how to make a decent coffee that fellow Melbournians are accustomed to! I ordered the Salmon bowl which was served with quinoa, poached egg, kale, avocado and fennel. The salmon was perfectly prepared and not overcooked delivering a melt in your mouth experience! The staff were also lovely and helpful!

This is without doubt our favourite place to eat in our area. (And of course get coffee) Firstly - THE STAFF! They just make you want to come back - all the time! They are delightful. Christian/Valentino, Wil and Ryan are a ray of sunshine. Secondly - the FOOD. Oh my goodness! So so so so so yummy. The breakfasts are epic but come here on a weekend evening or in the week when they have specials on. The chef is so talented and truly we have never walked away without absolutely raving about what we’ve eaten. Finally, the neighbourhood feel. It’s got such a community vibe and makes us feel at home :-)

Had a Reuben Corn beef sandwich with 2 coffee. Have to say the food was brilliant, one of the best corn beef sandwich I ever had. Coffee was great, nice and strong( old suburbs coffee in Sydney tends to be way better than those new areas/ recently developed suburbs). On top of the great food was the friendly staff and attentive service. My drinking water was running out and it was straight away replaced with a fresh new bottle without me asking. Glad to be back in Sydney:-)

The service is very poor and the food is very average. When I went there it was quite busy, one of the staff me members was young and she took my order, I told her I wanted my eggs sunny side up. When my order came it was fried eggs and the halloumi was missing, so I asked the waitress where is my halloumi? She went on to say sorry we have run out of halloumi. To my understanding if you run out of something you are meant to tell the customer while they are ordering there meal. Also the eggs were dripping in butter and the Italian sausages were defiantly not Italian sausages they tasted off! They had run out of chocolate tella balls also and it was only 2:00pm! I will defiantly not go back...

We gave Foodcraft another shot, after taking a long hiatus, and I'm very glad we did! The newer owners are super friendly, the food is awesome and they now offer dinner. As a bit of history we originally came here when it first opened (under the previous owners) quite regularly for breakfast but then when the Tella Balls craze went viral it was a painful place to visit. Impossible to get a table without waiting a long time, incredibly slow service and an ENORMOUS queue of tourists waiting to make Instagram posts about their Tella Ball shakes. We decided we'd had enough and went elsewhere. Now we're back and looking forward to dining here more...
