La Cachette Cafe — Restaurant in Sydney

When I ordered the server didn’t understand what I was asking . Or she was uninterested. I ordered and advised I was sitting out side with my dogs (two tiny chihuahuas) When she came out she didn’t want to serve me because of the dogs! She stood 2 meters away mumbling something and after a few minutes I worked out she was scared of dogs Not sure what she wanted me to do I mean they didn’t bark bite or harass the 20 other people thstn walked by previously I asked what she wanted me to do She threw the food on the table I mean it’s Alexandria every one has dogs

I ordered the daily soup that I couldn’t eat Too much pepper I took it back in and an other server was nice and i changed it to toast and jam Can’t mess that up She was nice and asked if I was ok So much nicer and professional than first...

Sept 2023: Changing me review to a 3/5 as I was not impressed with the service tonight. Tues is their $14 Pasta night however found out tonight after ordering that Boscaiola costs extra which is not mentioned on their sign outside (only extra for seafood is mentioned). Also our two pasta dishes took 35 mins to come out. As a result of the long wait, we were quite hungry by the time our food was served.

Food is great. Love the creme brulee latte, and the bacon hash brown roll with tomato relish. The staff are super lovely and kind but the service could be improved. Sometimes it can take a long time to receive table service. I have seen a customer leave after waiting to be served because it seemed the staff hadn't noticed them. And the food orders don't always come correct - spinach instead of avocado, bacon instead of hash brown etc.

It's super good food/drink and I'll continue to come here a lot, but I recommend making sure the staff have acknowledged you before sitting down if you want table service, be ready to order when they do come as it could take a while for them to come back, and double check your order has been...
