Cali Press Double Bay — Restaurant in Sydney

I’m just enjoying a great smoothie from Cali press double bay (around 3:00 on 3/10). Staff were amazing. Only two rostered on to make fresh smoothies, coffees, take orders and money and keep the shop in order. They were getting swamped but doing fantastic. I had barely any wait to get my smoothie at all. The only complaint is the customers and the way they speak to the staff (one man sounded so aggressive he sounded like he was about to punch on for no clear reason). Absolutely no respect for the staff from a few customers despite the staff performing flawlessly - management might want to reconsider the environment they have these poor people in. I am a fine dining chef and the staff at this shop impressed me very much. Thanks guys...

Today, there were five employees working, and it took them 20 minutes to make my smoothie. One was on the phone, while the other four were chatting. It felt like they were barely doing anything—putting in a banana here, chatting there, adding another banana, and so on. The girl who actually made my smoothie forgot to add the protein, and then she stood holding my completed drink while chatting for several minutes. I’m not sure if this was intentional, but it was easily the worst service I’ve ever had.

The staff at Cali Press in Double bay are EXCEPTIONALLY RUDE. I have been going here for years and I am always greeted by eye rolls and huffing. I waited at the counter for about a minute with today with about 5 people behind me, whilst the server stood in front of me clearly scrolling on instagram on her phone and then looked up at me and said "what do you want". After I ordered she rolled her eyes and walked away. This has been a long time issue here which has never seemed to be resolved.
