Chargrill Charlie's Mona Vale — Restaurant in Sydney

Disappointing treatment at the Mona Vale store today. My experience started with an almost finished Caesar salad. Not much chicken, egg or bacon, but plenty of salad. I asked if they could top it up and was told no. So I thought I’d not complain as usually there is so much chicken and I’d go with the flow. I bought a different salad and a couple of other things. My total bill was $75.95. I then noticed the loyalty card by the register and asked for a new one. As usual I’d left mine in the car - as I’d done the last two visit, annoyingly. The person serving me gave me 3 stamps - for a $60 spend. I said, look I’m only $4 short can you give me the extra stamp. As $80 is closer to the amount I spent than $60. The server said she wasn’t allowed, I asked to speak to her boss and thought I’d simply get another stamp and be on my way. But the “boss” said no, if I wanted another stamp I should spend another $4. This is pretty petty. I’d not complained about the lack of ingredients in the Caesar salad - give and take. I’ve bough many time with no stamps as I’ve left my loyalty card in my car - but would this guy round up for $4 !! No. I’m so disappointed at this short sightedness - why be so negative. What it has caused is that in the future I won’t be happy to “give and take” if I go back - I certainly won’t go back with joy as I have usually done. All for seemingly nothing. I don’t think I’ve ever used my “rewards” - that’s the funny thing, but now I’m so unhappy with the Mona Vale Chargrill Charlies that I will struggle to return there. What a shame....

Gavin and his team came to my rescue after being let down by a local caterer just days before my upcoming birthday party. We have had many chickens, salads and burgers from this particular Chargrill Charlies in Mona Vale, so I knew that their food was fresh, however, it was my first time ordering from their actual catering menu. Gavin and his team were very helpful and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble, which put my mind at ease with such short notice. The food was delivered on time and all seven dishes I chose were super fresh and made that morning. Everything was very tasty and there was ample of it. My family and friends could not believe it came from our local chicken shop after asking me where I got it from! My personal favourite was the thai yellow chicken curry, but the country lamb shanks were the absolute bomb and a huge hit with everyone! Thank you Gavin and Team - I will not hesitate to use you again for future...

Have been here quite a few times now , always excellent consistent food, Pretty good value, the ordering set up can get a bit messy and sometimes out of control. They made a mistake and left out an extra item I had ordered to go in my burger, not a big issue, told them , and 3 minutes later they had added it ., Then about 2 minutes later the manager came over with a side order of chips which were on the house and apologized as they had made a mistake with the order. Great customer service. He acknowledged the customers who were sitting at the their tables and eating , asking them if everything was ok. Shame other eateries can not be bothered to do the same sort of customer service, it costs them nothing but the good will created is enormous with the customers. No wonder they have a successful chain of outlets .Simple , Good food , Good service and...
