Where do I start. I went this restaurant last weekend for the first time. It was heaving busy so I queued up until I got to the front. I was told I didn't have a ticket so I had to go to the back, I explained I had been queuing for 10 minutes to which the guy behind the counter looked over the top of my head and shouted "Who is next?" And when I tried to speak to him he ignored me... eventually a CUSTOMER asked the guy to serve me as I had queued up. He eventually realised, served me and kindly gave me and my friends a $40 voucher for being rude. He apologised and explained it was super busy so he was stressed, I accepted and enjoyed my food... Today I went with my friend to redeem my $40 voucher. I ordered 2 meals, and asked if I could have 6 wings to make it near enough a round $40. I took my number 5 sign and sat down. 5 minutes later my 2 meals came, and the waiter took the 5 sign and walked off. Now I am 27 years old and for me, when they take that sign that means that the order is done. So, obviously I enquired "excuse me mate, do we have some wings coming?" To my horror, the response the staff member snarled back at me sarcastically was "Yes, I only have two bloody hands" turned and walked back into the kitchen. I chased him down and requested not to be spoken to like that, especially in public. I returned to my chair to find him back outside talking to my friend and making out I was overly upset and causing a fuss. The fellow in question seemed to be a more senior staff member, with grey medium length hair. So, my free meal given to me due to rude staff was so kindly followed up with a directly rude staff member who this time was not in a busy shop. Hands down the worst customer experience I have ever had, and I feel this is an issue above staff and reflects massively on the store manager, and quite frankly, so far, the chargrill Charlie's brand as a whole. Does not even warrant 1 star, but the...
Read moreI placed an order to be delivered with UberEATS on 25/08. in one of the combo sections, I added a note for tomato sauce on the side, and in the other combo, I added a note asking for no onion and no tomato on the burger. the order shows up in good time, but missing the tomato sauce. I called the store to ask if they have tomato sauce, thinking maybe they don't have it and that's why it wasn't included. the level of disrespect that I was met with was so atrocious, it has ensured I will never eat here again. I was told in a sneering voice by a very condescending woman "well if you had written it in the comment section, we would have done it." I told the woman "I did write it in the comments, that's why I'm calling. I'm looking at the docket right now and reading my comment, would you like me to email it to you?" funnily enough, the answer was not "yes." I wonder why. I was then told "well what would you like me to do about it?!" honestly, I was not even calling to have an argument or be that annoying customer. had she been a reasonable person in hospitality and said, "I'm so sorry, that was our mistake, we'll send it now." I would have said "no, don't be ridiculous, you don't need to come all this way just for tomato sauce." my reason for calling was just so they knew they had made a mistake and to look out for it in the future, like customers have done for my places of work in hospitality. but to be met with such disdain and attitude over damn tomato sauce and accusing the customer of lying (funny enough, she got my comment about no onion and no tomato; that burger was fine, but somehow my tomato sauce comment wasn't included?), no, absolutely not. will never order from there again, and will not recommend it to anyone.
also, while I was typing up this review, a bone was discovered in the no onion/no tomato burger....
Read moreThe service in here has just become terrible and one of the ladies who is perhaps a manager needs to take a long hard look at herself.
After taking my order she walked over to start preparing it and then starts ripping into another staff member about how he's placing the chickens in to the cabinet, in front of customers, and then tells him he's too (keep that in mind).
She then start hacking away at the chicken to go in my roll, paying zero attention and as such found 3 pieces of bone in it when I ate it (perhaps slow down and pay some attention).
She then takes the roll over to add salad and receives a phone call on her mobile and I get the pleasure of watching her prod at my food for 2 minutes with one hand, all whilst holding the phone on speaker over my food with the other and barking in to it (may as well have just licked my lunch), after 2 minutes she then abandons my food and walks off to the other end of the counter for another 2 - 3 minutes to continue her phone call, to the point I had to ask another staff member to finish my roll...only for her to walk back and rudely take back control. Can't help but feel her disappearing mid order and just abandoning it on the counter to take a call is doing far more damage to the speed of things happening than some poor lad taking 2 seconds longer to get a chicken from one tray to another.
In some real need of quality control, manners, service and hygiene...
