the food was lovely, not the best italian i’ve had but the staff stand by their menu and i respect that the duck pate and crackers were delicious as well as their octopus which was cooked very well and was beautifully tender and thick however the sauce was a bit too acidic for my personal liking which i don’t feel complimented the octopus. the server gave is a vinegary chill paste (similar to that served at viet places) which complimented EVERYTHING we had so don’t be afraid to be generous as its not spicy at all we had the cacio pepe and gnocchi for our mains. the cacio pepe was served a bit cold which i think can’t be helped given its mixed in a cheese wheel and we were sitting outside. it was good and authentic, i felt it could use some meat. the gnocchi had a beautiful texture and really nice and warm, however it was my first time having gnocchi and i found it didn’t suit my palette the service was amazing and very friendly, laura was our waitress and she took really good care of us and checked up a few times. she does her best to ensure you are enjoying your night - there was also a young guy who served us, he was very friendly didn’t get his name though the restaurant itself is in an alleyway with beautiful nearby streets, however the place itself is small and not much seating. good choice if you want somewhere intimate. i recommend this place if authentic italian is your thing :)

As the FAQ on the menu mentions it the place feels like a mix of Italian, Spanish and hillbilly. The vibe of the place is pretty cool you can hear some country music on the background while you enjoy some cured meats, cheese and wine. The service was excellent, very attentive and friendly. We ordered a platter with a culatello, which was soft and tender 👌. We also got the truffle salami and some cheese and pickled veggies with it. In my opinion the truffle salami felt fresh but could’ve had a bit stronger flavour , all in all the platter as whole was great. I hadn’t really tried pickled grapes and the combination of sweetness and vinegar was amazing and paired really well with the rest of the platter. We then ordered some bbq pork empanadas. In my opinion they were a bit too sweet, not sure if it was some tomato sauce on them. Still enjoyable but not my favorite. Finally we ordered the caccio e Pepe and it was good. I specially liked the presentation, it comes in a pecorino cheese wheel and they serve it from there. All in all, I had a great time and great service, the food is good and just for the ambience and drinks would definitely recommend.

Service is at the heart of this restaurant. From the moment you say hello to their staff; to the time that you tap your card to pay, every single interaction with their team is memorable. It's our first time dining in at Chester, and we can't seem to decide what to get, so we settled for their "Let us feed you" set menu. All I can say is that - they'll feed you, and your tummy will be satisfied and happy. If you are reading this and want to know what I recommend, I highly suggest that you try their Carbonara or Truffled Cacio e Pepe- you need to try 'em to understand why they're considered customers' favourite. Flavour tip: Put a dab of their house special spice with your pasta, and your tastebuds will rejoice. Their charcuterie is full of tasteful surprises, and their Duck Pate is one of the best we've tasted. Overall our dining experience is five stars, and we will be back to experience it again.

We've been going to Chester White regularly for quite a few years at least once a week or fortnight, so very loyal customers, but Stu doesn't know how to treat any customer with respect, let alone if they're loyal regulars or not!

I have been trying to get in touch with Stu for the past few days and none of my calls get answered or returned until today when I have to go out of my way to call him again.

We have a booking for 6 people for 14th September at 5:30 and asking to make it a 10 people booking as it's 3 of our birthdays and given how regularly we come we expect some respect and try to make it work.

We proposed multiple options and were even willing to take a 10% chance of rain at risk to even sit outside if needed. We then even suggested we can make 2 bookings around the same time and he is not even giving us that option when we have booked 2 bookings within the same timeframe ourselves online.

If Stu had ANY COMMONSENSE or willingness to respect his customers he would just make this work for us at 5.30pm/ 5.45pm or 6pm combined but instead said that it's just cancelled all bookings.

Stu also should not complain we come on the phone "aggro" when ZERO commonsense has been applied in this circumstance for 4 days & clearly no effort has been put in to help when tables are available online during the same timeframe to make it work.

Stu could have even limited the seating time to 1.5hrs but he is just not willing to help

Don't suggest to support a business with people that can't respect...

I would give the food 4, maybe 5 stars. After me and my friend looked for a nicer place to eat, then we both wanted something different and nicer we ended up in this very cute restaurant with very lovely staff members. The only thing we asked about was if the bigger size dishes was filling. After being promised it was, we sat down and got recommended to take two different to share then the truffle pasta was so much to have each, something we was ordering first. We ended up with six gnocchi each and a truffle pasta that was big enough for two very small side plates. Neither of us are big eater and both of us walked away hungry. Don’t know if the idea is to share plenty of smaller meals but it was no information that we got even though we said we never been at that place before. We didn’t got any questions about if we were full or not or if we was happy with the sizes, something I would do in my hospo job then it was our main concern as a costumer. We paid $33 each for the food, not super expensive but have paid equally much for the same standard around Potts point and still left the restaurant without ending up at McDonald’s 5 minutes later. Think it just was sad, instead of having a great time with really really tasty food in a restaurant with a great vibe, it became an evening with disappointment and a feeling of being a bit tricked to spend...
