At the recommendation of someone, I thought I would give this place a try. Initially wanted to go Myeongdong in North Strathfield, but the queue was too long. Much to my regret.
Arrive at this place around 8pm - order the pork bone soup hotpot and Jajangmyeon.
On the menu the pork bone soup had potatoes in it. When it arrived there was not a single potato. I didn’t notice at the time and wouldn’t have minded anyway, but isn’t that false advertising? For $50, I would have liked more soup. Instead soup level was midway of the shallow pot, barely covering the meat and mostly evaporated before the meat got hot. It was bland - as if they ran out of soup and had to water it down.
The jajangmyeon tasted good - it had very little onions and meat but being $16 I didn’t expect much.
I noticed around 8:30 most people were leaving and this lady (probably the female boss) was slumped over the table (two tables away from us) just sighing and acting annoyed.
Later the “chef” or might have been kitchen hand, stands near the doorway in his rubber boots and apron then proceeds to emptying the garbage of glass bottles making a terribly loud noise.
At 9 we felt so uncomfortable, like they were all in the kitchen glaring at us, I turned to ask if they were closing.
Instead of answering, the female boss looks right at me, very unfriendly look, and turns away without answering.
We stood up to pay and leave without finishing the rest of our meal.
Later I checked google to see their opening hours and realised it states 10pm. So I don’t understand what their problem was.
The only positive was that the female waitress was very nice and polite. Initially I thought the jajangmyeon tasted pretty good, but the food gave me stomach ache that night and the next day.
If you want to have dinner with your friend and hope to find a place to chat - THIS IS NOT THE PLACE.
I’ve never experienced such a thing where it seems the owner doesn’t want customers or business. Why are they even in business?
Save your time and money - there are soooo many better places to eat, I would rather line up 2 hours at myeongdong than to ever experience something like this again.
Now I understand why some businesses are so popular with people lining up outside and why some are empty, like...

Today we visited to Cholsim was extremely disappointing. We were a group of 10 — 5 adults and 5 toddlers — and ordered 5 different meals from the menu. Despite sitting at two separate tables, the restaurant only gave us 1 side dishe and refused to provide additional side dishes.
When we politely requested more side dishes, the waitress was unresponsive, and instead, the chef came out — not to help, but to laugh at us. When I asked why we weren’t getting extra side dishes especially since we were technically two separate groups, the chef couldn't give a clear answer and instead muttered inappropriate words in Korean. His tone and behavior were extremely rude and unprofessional.
What’s most upsetting is that our family has been regular customers here, visiting almost every weekend. After this disrespectful treatment, we will not be returning. This experience has completely changed our...
Read moreWent there for lunch with friends, first time there. Not bad! The jajangmyun wasn't too salty but had enough flavour. Didn't have too much sauce and the noodles weren't too chewy or soft. Though it may have lacked a bit more veggies, I understand the dish itself usually doesn't have much other than cabbage and onions. Could probably do with a bit more cabbage but in all quite nice! My partner had the beef stew which was also quite good - not super sweet but on the sweeter side. Will try their tofu...
