Visited this restaurant today for a Mother’s Day dinner hoping for a special meal, but left feeling very let down. There were multiple issues that really affected the experience. First, the food itself was below average. The naan was undercooked—soft and doughy in the center, without the crisp, slightly charred texture you expect from a proper tandoor. The curry arrived lukewarm and lacked both flavor and spice. I had specifically asked for it to be spicy, but it came out bland and under-seasoned. For a cuisine known for bold flavors, this was a huge disappointment. On top of that, they had advertised a complimentary ice cream for Mother's Day, which sounded like a nice gesture. But instead of actual ice cream, they served a small cup of whipped cream—nothing more. It felt like a lazy and misleading way to cut corners, especially on a day that’s supposed to feel special. Lastly, they added a surcharge to the bill, which was technically mentioned on the menu—but written in such small, faint print that it was nearly impossible to notice unless you were actively looking for it. That lack of transparency felt sneaky, and it really soured the end of the meal. Service was polite, but overall the visit felt rushed, careless, and not worth the price. I won’t be returning unless there are some serious improvements made in both food quality and honesty.

We were surprised to see the service, creativity in ambience, dishes, their names and some really unique dishes which we haven't seen in other restaurants. The staff were really courteous, our noodles went cold really fast, mostly weather than anything wlse but on raising a concern, staff took immediate action, redid the noodles and gave us hot đŸ”„ again. A uniqueness of menu a d there were some.dishes outaide the menu that were offerred to us like sarao ka saah and makki ki roti with paneer methi malai. We tried mocktails like Aam panna, and kids tried lassi, Naan, we felt it was a bit small, but the experience and courteousness took over everything. While we only tried vegetarian dishes (being Tuesday), I highly recommend Clever Chachi to anyone who wants to explore aome new menu options and wants to enjoy the ambience and experience. There is basement parking, dont forget the entry, though. 😀 There is disabled parking but no disabled access unless you park in the front, and even then, there is a step and no parking or no longer parking usually. Even kids enjoyed snacks like nachos chaat. I could not find chalhna separately to order. 🙂 Overall, we really enjoyed and would visit again. Thank you for the wonderful experience. It was my wife's birthday 🎂 đŸ„ł 🎉 🎈 🎁 🎊 and we thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it.

Just hope the restaurant owners see this and take it constructively. The restaurant being new to Castle Hill, just ordered one simple dish to try this place before we could make group booking for a private celebration. Placed an order while waiting outside the restaurant. Alarmingly, the food was ready almost instantly and for some reason, cold. Contacted the restaurant over the phone after I left (as I didn’t pickup personally) and was offered a replacement or compensation on next visit. Pressed on time, I politely declined. Unsurprisingly, they forgot to cook the food so I had to cook it once home and with some more seasoning. Disappointed with the quality of food, shabby packaging, the fact that it wasn’t made to order, and lacked any seasoning whatsoever. Generous portions though and would love to try the restaurant again. Hopefully it will change my perception.

Ordered malai kofta, 2 rotis, 1 naan, palak ghost. As soon as we realised we ordered too much we requested them to cancel the malai kofta and naan instead we would like to try the Veg Thali from the All Day available menu.

The Waitress went in to the kitchen and the lady owner who’s photo is printed on the menu with her husband on the first page, comes out at our table in a rude manner and claims there is a typo error and the food is only available Monday to Friday and Sunday dinner but not on Saturday dinner (never heard this before).

She thought we don’t understand but she made a fool out of herself with her statement, me and wife looked at each other and did not get into any argument. We were just laughing at her that how low can someone go for the greed of money. Maybe she is doing tough and decided to rip off customers. Anyways food was just average, added 10% GST was another disappointment. This was the first and last time we visited Clever Chachi.

They have given a prefect name to their restaurant (Clever Chachi) and this Auntie is super clever. As per ATO website there is a huge list of food items that are GST free so adding another GST did not look right on top of charging $1.89 as service charges.

We went there after reading their good google reviews, ignored all the negative reviews that customers had left about their experiences. We thought it will be a good place to dine in but turned out to be a disaster for us. We just wanted to have a quiet evening after a long day of hard work and wanted to unwind ourselves. We would advise the husband owner to be transparent with the transactions because the wife owner takes matters in her own hands and gives misleading information, please don’t take your customers...
