Coffee Creative is a hidden gem amongst a sea of Sydney Cafe’s all vying for the top spot.

Me being an Inner Westie with an ongoing craving for the best coffee spot in the city, saw the 5 star reviews and headed over to see what all the fuss was about.

I could not have been happier with the experience. The coffee was top class, with a mix of nuanced flavours that stand out among the ever-growing Sydney Cafe Elite.

But, the reason for my review is not on coffee alone. The vibe and community of this cafe is something that seems to have been lost at other establishments. There is no pretension here and you feel immediately part of the conversation. This cafe not only serves coffee and food but also a reminder of what it feels to be welcomed into a space with food and drink and feel comfortable there.

From humble and hard working beginnings comes this brilliant barista and all round good guy and business owner. Any coffee you desire he will make sure you get a perfect coffee every time. Amazing homemade treats, empanadas with home made relish, cakes, spring rolls, cookies. Excellent beans for home. Wonderful little shop to hang out and refresh and recharge. Proud of watching all Ash has achieved over the years from his little stall on the side of the highway up the mountains. Worth the trip, will go out of my way every time I hit anywhere near Sydney as I ALWAYS get a perfect coffee and a friendly face. Have a Freddo! Amazing iced drink for the hot days. Ash, proud owner and supremely seasoned barista, delivers the best coffee in the area. No queues mean you can come in and quench your caffeine craving with a serious dose of richly roasted, fully flavoured and perfectly prepared cup of coffee.

If that doesn’t sway you to try this cafe, Coffee Creative has a revolving door of familiar and friendly neighbourhood faces, with true locals even throwing down a tab for weeks’ of supply, how’s that for reliability?
