Large well appointed two storey restaurant/bar, that is the regular 'local' for many. AMBIENCE: Really friendly, warm and homely feel. Folks hanging out drinking and eating outside, in wheelchairs, with dogs, prams etc. It's got a super friendly neighbourhood vibe. Lovely flower arrangements, nice timber finishes etc on the inside. This would be great if the weather was horrible, as there's loads of undercover seating: in and outdoors, fitting groups of 30+ easily. STAFF: Super helpful and attentive. Upon entering we were warmly welcomed and invited to eat outside, upstairs or in the front area, which was great. Upstairs has table service. Downstairs...you can order at the bar. FOOD: Great selection of roasts, schnitzel, salads, pork belly, nachos and other pub grub. They're aware of gluten free, vegan and vegetarian needs and intolerances. They had really flavoursome, well cooked, high quality gluten free pork belly and nacho's and they also had gluten free 'surf and turf' on the menu. OVERALL: Highly recommend and will be back.

Sunday like today is perfect for “Sunday Roast” lunch. Finally I can visit this small pub, local favorite around this area. Came around 2 pm, and I found this place it’s not so hectic busy, maybe just pass lunch hours. I ordered Roast Pork for my Sunday Roast, from options of roast beef and roast lamb. Meat was juicy and succulent, also on the side dish: cauliflower gratin is good, roast baby chat potatoes, and green pea. Also apple sauce to compliment the pork. Anyway I’ve try the lamb roast also, that came with mint sauce on the side. Beef check Rendang was awesome, one of my favorite dish, and chef done justice to this dish! Anyway, Sunday Roast will cost you $20, and it also came with home made sticky date pudding, butterscotch sauce, fresh cream and fresh berries. Make sure you came with empty stomach...😁

This is a lovely pub and from the outside it looks quiet and we thought it was quiet and private on the ground floor. It’s buzzing upstairs so all of you who want a more vibrant and lively atmosphere, I suggest going upstairs. The ground floor has a smoking area which is quite spacious. We took advantage of the weekday deal and we are glad we did. The food is great. We tried the Beef Thai Salad and the crusted Barra and the food came out quite quickly

wish they had no star rating, this hotel service and hospitality have been lacking for years and yesterday was no different, same rude staff, same overpriced drinks with NO SERVICE and such an attitude I wonder how they stay open, the low crowds they get their reflects my experience, we have only a couple of open hotels in our area of at least 50,000 residents and this hotel only ever pulls mediocre numbers, guess they see what I see, do yourself a favour anywhere but here, they have also bought the Glen Roy on Botany road nearby best advice avoid both. Their rude attitude should be rewarded with a RAW PRAWN Award. Further to this the publican PHONED my best friend the next SUNDAY and asked him to get me to contact him, this is a total violation of my privacy and on a SUNDAY, there are other business like and professional ways to contact me about this review, the way they did it made me feel intimidated and abused, it caused terrible friction with my friend still not repaired and depressed me for the week following, just awful experience with this business over a few years, NEVER going back, I have given them a few opportunities and now is the time to...

Hi Trevor & Simone,

Just wanted to say what a fabulous job John did the other night for my function.

He was a good man, always polite and attentive and even though flat out with staff shortages, he took the time to take a group shot and wait for the crew to be ready. So he was patient and we loved that he took that for us so we could all be in it.

Room was fabulous, food was fabulous and yes everyone made comments all night regarding food. The two vegans were very impressed too. It couldn't have gone off any better. We stayed for 7.5 hours and you don't do that if it's not going well.

John thanks so much. I'm glad to hear we were an ok bunch to have around. Your hospitality made the night for us as well as venue and food. A million thank yous. Everyone still raving about it. You can't praise a person or place enough when the memories for me are forever. All the best.

Also the other gentleman behind the bar was a good...
