Love the layout of the interior, some of the staff are not very friendly they don’t even say thank you or smile when you place a $70 food order alone. The Burratta didn’t have enough bread, the pesto orecchiette pasta was swimming in oil, and the fresh salmon poke bowl was just an uncooked salmon fillet chopped up with skin on. The beers and Prosecco were good and the bar manager was nice. Not all of the bar staff were sour just some, they didn't like it when we returned the pasta and complained that there wasn’t enough bread w the Burratta, but to be fair they gave us 1 more small piece of bread and swapped the pasta for us. When we asked for extra Parmesan cheese for the pasta they said ā€œoh I don’t know about thatā€ and walked away. We would have paid extra but that wasn’t an option. We were really excited about this place, we won’t be going back here in a hurry until they improve on the food and learn what good customer service is. A simple thank you and smile goes a long way when you spend $150 at an establishment.

I recently visited the Mitch and had a very disappointing experience. I ordered the crab linguini, and it was so poorly prepared that even I, someone who admits to not being a great cook, could have done a better job. The dish lacked flavor and was far from what I expected. My husband ordered the beef ribs, which cost a staggering $45. We were shocked to find that the portion size was closer to that of a $5 snack. The ribs were ridiculously small and certainly not worth the price. The only saving grace of our meal was the kids' burger, which was at least edible—but that's a very low bar to set for a dining experience. Overall, I would not recommend this place if you're looking for quality food and value for money. Edit: I went back again and my opinion stands. Plus they are definitely NOT kid friendly

Sorely miss the Fratelli Fresh days before COVID but amazing to see how the fitouts and decor remains practically intact esp. retaining the wood fired pizza oven while installing a simple bar to really give it that local neighbourhood welcoming. Charlie and the team provided us the entire lounge area (which would've been extra cool if the day was colder to light up the embers!). Nevertheless, given how the Mitch is only about a year old, what's unique about it is its family-friendly playground adjacent to the pool table and arcade games are situated well away from the standard tables (for those chatting anything M15+-related).

The staff were so over it, either with me showing up for a hot choccy on a cold night or with the shrill trivia host not considering volume levels.

He did not look keen to make a hot chocolate that I ordered, I’m sorry, it was cold outside that night and I saw you guys had a nice interior and a machine so I thought it would be okay. You could just say no not doing it tonight, I’d understand and move along, instead of receiving pure deadpan facial judgment. How awkward. I know it’s a smaller purchase, but not everyone can order big every time, I could have gone to Maccas, but then I thought these guys look new & local why not support em? not aware if what I did was so wrong, I’m not sure why he was so visibly upset. I do maintain genuine politeness.

Possibly something personal with him. I don’t know, but please hospo, don’t make others feel uncomfortable like this for no good reason. Maybe it’s not the right work for you. I’ve worked fast paced days where I’d rather be anywhere else but ensured patrons always felt welcome, and treated everyone with kindness and a smile because that was my job. And always reminded myself that maybe someone out there might just need that

Whatever it is… it’s enough for me to not want to come back, it’s the worst foot forward especially this being an awful first time experience. I couldn’t wait to leave, which is not my usual style

Aside from this. I note 2 stars, one more added because it’s Great for families with young children and dog parents, I’m not either of those yet. If you are, give these guys a try, daytime where spirits are hopefully higher. Not many pubs around have areas for kids to keep entertained, I note this as a great addition...

Great to see the establishment back open as a pub. We tried to get a table on Friday night for a bite to eat but nothing available because the place was packed which was great to see.

We dropped by on Saturday in the hope to get a table and the place was very busy again but managed to secure a table.

We ordered the Schnitty, chips & salad and a salmon pokƩ bowl. The schnitty was great but unfortunately the Salmon PokƩ bowl was disappointing. The fresh raw salmon was cut into small cubes and still had the skin on it and was inedible and pushed it to the side of the bowl.

Having worked in hospo if you attend a table to clear plates and there was food left on the plate you ask the patrons if there was a problem with the meal. Instead the female staff member just swooped in a grabbed the plate and left without anytime to advise her of the issue.

The atmosphere was great, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Will be...
