Naked brew in Erskinville is just across from Erko oval, a place that conjures up memories of playing football over a rock hard cricket pitch in the centre of the oval. The place has changed alot over the years. Thankfully, Naked brew is way softer than my memories of the oval. This dog friendly cafe with outdoor seating and clean modern interior is very inviting.
There was a range of interesting menu options and they serve coffee from one of our favourite coffee roasters, 5 senses, who are based in Melbourne. The latte was good, as was expected with that brew and their latte art is on point. If popping in on a hot day like we did, the iced coffee is a great option, the iced coffee with ice cream will encourage some drink envy from your brunch companion.
What, spag bowl for breakfast? Absolutely! The bolognese on top of sour dough with a perfectly poached egg on top is great if you are super hungry. A thick cut piece of super fresh sourdough soaking up that saucy goodness, a mountain of pasta, pierce the egg and have the yolk cascade down.
Something healthy as a counter was the goodness bowl. Presented with plenty of colour and a decent portion size. This dish will provide you with the nourishment you probably now need. Loaded with plenty of healthy veg including; kale, corn purple cauliflower carrot, sprouts, chickpead, throw in some avo, tomato and a poached egg on top.
Apple crumble brioche toast, waffles and chicken, soft shell crab or black pudding. If you want to try something interesting, this is the place for it.
For the dog owners owners out there, you can take your pup and they sell puppy treats, biscuits and donuts, smoothies and frothocinos! They are certainly well looked after.
A trendy little cafe in the leafy part of Erskineville. Great coffee and an interesting menu, we will return to sample more...
Read moreA friend of ours bought us a gift voucher for this place and we came to Erskineville to check it out. Really glad we came. We didn’t call in and book and on a warm Sunday afternoon there was quite a few people waiting for tables. We got our table within about 20 mins of arriving.
They have a human menu and a dog menu here so your four legged family member can also enjoy brunch. We ordered the waffle for our dog and he tired to gulp in down in one go 🤣 He was so excited to get a plate all to himself at a human cafe 🤣
Menu is pretty varied and plenty of brunch options. I had the full breakfast, first item on the menu. I also had a double espresso Shane which was very nice indeed. Eggs poached perfectly, nice bacon, chorizo and mushrooms. It tasted great and despite the place being full food arrived shortly after we ordered.
Service is nice and friendly and there is a number of tables outside which was mostly occupied by dog owners having brunch. Would happily come here again. A nice treat for us and our lovely dog. Coffee is great and food...
Read moreQuality dog friendly Cafe. Coffee is strong, medium and slightly acidic. The French toast was perfectly combined with the right amount of each ingredients. Cinnamon was on point, not overpowering but a nice additional flavour ontop of the sweetness, fresh pomegranate was the highlight of the dish for me. The blueberry and honey dogs shake was a big hit with my pup. It's really nice to see people put more effort than your standard frothy milk sprinkled with fake coco and call it a day. I definitely appreciate the sentiment and research put into it. Quality of each dish definitely justified the price. Service was genuine, ambiance;sort of a cozy modern wood feel.
Improvements; would be nice if they had longer trading hours, also if the doggy doughnuts were available weekly. Definitely will be back to try...
