To be completely honest the food was good, not amazing but not terrible, I would consider going back again but I’m not in a rush. The overall aesthetic of this place was really good, pretty colours, great set up and pretty food. However, this is all vested by the poor staffing, not being served for about 20 minutes, with no water or anything. Further, there were plenty of free tables however to create some sort of urgency from patrons we had to line up after waiting we were seated in the same table we initially tried to sit at. Like come on... I understand that all restaurants etc want to appear in higher demand than they are but you don’t need to be OTT about it and even though this restaurant was clearly over booked and understaffed patrons probably should not have to wait 3 years to be seated and served. My final complaint was the reason for writing this review, which is easily the most critical I have had to write, the lady at the door that was taking bookings or whatever she was attempting to appear like she was doing was unnecessarily rude, I wouldn’t want to work in a cafe either sweetheart, that’s why I don’t and neither should you with that attitude. This review to readers may make me out to be overly assertive and aggressive however read my other reviews, all positive because I dislike doing things like this to someone’s business. So to conclude, the food was good, the atmosphere was good, albeit chaotic (which is fine) and the manager (man in the cap with the beard) was nice and apologised to us for all the waiting etc. But these factors are diminished by the aforementioned...

I am HIGHLY impressed with concrete jungle cafe. I booked this place as the blue smoothie bowl caught my eye on social media. I ordered an eggs Benedict, the blue majik smoothie bowl and coconut feta with quinoa fritters. First of all, the eggs benedict with house smoked salmon was everything I could ever ask for in an eggs benedict. This is the one dish that I order at every new brunch place I visit for comparison. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the hollandaise was just a dream. Everything was balanced and set out beautifully on a bagel. The Blue majik smoothie bowl was probably the star of the show. It was pineapple flavoured with some kind of glazed popped rice and granola mix. The presentation was stunning and it tasted even better than it looks. I can say with confidence that the coconut feta was by far the best, smoothest and tastiest feta I have ever tasted. Everything about the meal was on point.

I also ordered a coconut tumeric latte which I was not a fan of. The matcha latte I ordered however, had the perfect bitter to sweetness ratio in my opinion. I could not finish any of the drinks as I was so stuffed from the meal. Upon leaving, a wait staff member asked me if I wanted it to be replaced or get some tea or coffee on the house to go. This made my morning. I turned down the offer as I was too full but the table service of this cafe is absolutely amazing. They really go above and beyond for the ultimate customer experience. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. If you want a dining experience not just a place to get fed, this...

Today there was a heatwave, so we decide to treat ourselves with delicious mouthwatering food to help us cool down and make us happy of course 👍 I ordered The BLUE MAJIK SMOOTHIE 19 GF DF ~ Blue Spirulina, Pineapple, Banana & Coconut Milk Topped with Blueberries, House made Puffed Granola & Edible Flower 💙 It tasted amazing! So refreshing and the toppings were so crunchy and chewy in texture, it went well with the smoothie bowl 🥶 an absolute winner!!

My friend ordered the pancakes ~ BLUEBERRY AND LEMON RICOTTA HOTCAKE 20 ALLOW 15 MINS Topped with Strawberries, Blueberries, Mascarpone, Maple Syrup, Coconut Flakes, Lemon balm & Edible Flowers My friends verdict : She said it was delicious, but the pancake was too dense and heavy for her.

She ordered the Matcha latte as well, she loved it, but said it was a bit strong.

I ordered the Taro Latte, it was nice, but the taste was not too strong.

The customer service was perfecto! The lady looked after us, placed us in an outside seating faraway from everyone else and never once neglected us! She gave us 5 minutes to order our food then returned to take our order and kept checking on us to see if we were ok!

This place is highly recommended! Loved the food, the service and the vibe 🙌

It’s in Kensington Street right next to the Central Park shopping centre approx 10-15 minutes walk from Central train station. Definitely...

From when I walked in I noticed the servers looked a bit lost like they didn’t know what they were doing and that should have been a sign for me to walk out but… Service wasn’t up to basic standards. I ordered the simplest item on the menu - scrambled eggs on toast - and didn’t even get a chance to eat it. It took a lot longer than it should for them to get to my order, by that time I was already late for an appointment. I asked for take away instead and was told it was ready. It should have taken a minute to put my order in a container but about 8 minutes later I was still waiting for it. I asked if it was really ready and the lady said ‘no’. I ended up just paying for my drinks and leaving. It didn’t look too busy so I was surprise it took so long to make scrambled eggs. Also, I’m almost sure they just served my order to someone else instead of making it take away. After I said I just wanted to pay for my drink I saw the waiter say something to the chef who threw a towel angrily on the counter and walked away. The kitchen is not hidden away so customers can see everything and this type of behaviour in front of people isn’t a good look.

Cashew nuts in the "tahini" dressing gave my friend an allergic reaction. When we asked the waitress, she didn't think there were nuts in the meal but checked with the kitchen, then apologised and offered my friend other food when it turned out there were. 10 minutes later, while my friend was out being sick, another staff member - the manager, I think - came to see us and tried to blame us for not saying that someone had an allergy, claiming that it would be far too long to write every ingredient on the menu. They had GF & LF symbols next to menu items, so why not declare that something has nuts in it? This same staff member tried to make us pay for the food that had made my friend sick. As for the rest, the food was actually good but quite expensive. The 3 slices of bresaola pictured were a $6 addition to my eggs. And other than the one unpleasant staff member, who made us feel very uncomfortable, the other staff handled the situation professionally, and were very friendly.
