It's got everything as described on the website, so read carefully! My expectations were met and then some more! It was difficult to find a room with two beds plus bathroom with good cost performance in the city. This hotel sits on the edge of Chippendale and Chinatown ... also few minutes walk from the massive Central Station. As such, I was able to easily access nearly all of the major tourist spots by foot or public transport within 30 min or less and even venture out to other suburban Chinatowns. I arrived at 28 Hotel at 7:30am and Angie helped store my bags until it was time to check in at 2pm. Our Room #104 was clean, beds were very comfy, showers were strong and had plenty of hot water, there's microwave, mini fridge, electric kettle, glassware, cups, spoon, daily towel change and making of the beds, free pastries / granola or nut bars in the morning, excellent espresso machine. Internet connection and speed was great too! Guests were polite and quiet. Service here from Angie, Arman and Katia were wonderful and helpful. You can request a shuttle (for a fee) to take you to the airport too, which came out about same price or less as Uber for me.
Only wish I have, I wish they had coin laundry plus a kitchen that guests can use, but at this point, I am just asking for an AirBnB or a high end hostel! Haha...
I would totally stay here again even if I don't take advantage of all the amenities. Thank you for a...

S33°53'5.9" E151°12'12.1” This hotel is a short 5 minutes’ walk from the south concourse of Sydney Central Station, between George and Lee St behind the Mercure Sydney hotel. On George St are many bars and restaurants, but Regent St is not a busy street. 57 Hotel is its sister hotel.
This former Central Regent Street hotel underwent renovation in 2017. Our room 605 on the sixth floor in August and September 2018 was a twin room in the back of the hotel, with view on the platforms of Sydney Central Station. It has two comfortable beds, although a bit too short. The room had central air conditioning (windows could not be opened), television, fridge, iron and ironing board. Wi-Fi was good but not for streaming video. The bathroom had a shower and toilet.
Housekeeping cleaned our room daily with new towels. The hotel offered simple breakfast in the small lobby downstairs with coffee, tea, muffins, cake and fruit. No juice. Enough to start the day. Car parking is available in the Mercure Hotel at the back of the hotel for AU$45 per day. We paid for the Max Twin room AU$162 per night in August 2018. We contacted them by e-mail and booked directly.
For its central location, clean and modern room and simple breakfast, 28 Hotel offered a very competitive price in Sydney CBD....
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and was very impressed with the overall experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their friendly and professional service. They were always happy to assist with anything I needed, whether it was local recommendations or a simple request during my stay.
The room was very comfortable—clean, well-maintained, and quiet, which made it easy to relax after a long day. The bed was especially cozy, and I appreciated the attention to detail in the room setup, including good lighting and a well-stocked bathroom.
One of the highlights of the stay was the breakfast. There was a wide variety of fresh options available, both hot and cold, and everything was delicious. From freshly baked pastries to coffee and tea and a range of fruits, it really helped start the day on the right note.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant, comfortable stay with excellent service. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, this place offers a warm atmosphere, great amenities, and a team that truly cares about guest satisfaction. I would definitely stay here again in the future.
