Chippendale Green Central Park Sydney. 25/07/22 Chippendale Green is part of Central Park which occupies 5.8 hectares on the former Carlton and United Brewery on Broadway. An iconic part of Chippendale’s rich history, this site now houses an urban development of residential, student living, a multi-level shopping centre, commercial office spaces, hotels, plus the beautiful Chippendale Green in the heart of it. Where 28 Broadway, Chippendale NSW 2008. Today I visited central park mall, I got lunch and eat at Chippendale Green, there here steel fencing on the lawn and wooden deck due to maintenance.

A lovely public space with lots of greenery, amenities including public toilets nearby, drinking fountains, and seats. The space is often used for public events such as markets, pop up ice skating rinks, group fitness classes, etc. The surrounds include; Central Park mall with lots of your standard retail clothing stores, Woolworths, chemists, restaurants, etc.; Spice Alley is just around the corner which is a modern day hawker market which offers a range of food options; Judith Nielsen’s White Rabbit art gallery; and also a cool derelict factory/industrial building overlooking the park.

Areas of grass and astroturf are well used by neighbourhiod dogs, who enjoy the park. A water feature on the Balfour Street Park side is fun to watch turn on in the morning. A large wind-driven sculpture will spin slowly (and I'm told occasionally wobble) on a breezy day.

its a very tidy park. I has a big table (around 12 people) and 2 free of charge BBQ spots for use it. Its at the botton of the central park building. It has a Woolworths right next to it. Well located, you can access from o´connor st and Chippendale way. is very close to central station, around 3 blocks. 2 blocks away from the most common fast food shops (mc donalds, sushi shop, KFC, Subway, Khebab). 3 blocks away from Broadway Shopping Center.
