We went relatively last minute so made a booking for a Saturday night at 5:30. We were made very welcome and were shown to a table with glimpses of a waning view (it was midwinter). The food was exquisite and while we did not order matching wines (or even matching wines for the meals) we thoroughly enjoyed our selections. The restaurant is situated in the historic house so exudes charm and style. The staff were attentive and insightful. For instance with our table they were friendly but cued that we are not particularly gregarious and left us to enjoy our meal. With other tables as befitted the guests the staff engaged in genuine conversation. We even witnessed the head waiter getting a patron a new glass and bottle of sparkling water because his wasn’t bubbly enough. Anywhere else this would have been laughed out of the restaurant. The food is fresh, tasty and thoughtful.

The place itself is visually stunning as you enter the old building and see the interior too however the spacing between the tables can be slightly narrow and servers are sometimes in each other’s way. The food here was great with special mention to the wagyu steak and the scallop entree but ultimately isn’t really worth the price for what you receive. The quality doesn’t quite make up for the lack of quantity. The servers were great with explaining the dishes however we did get someone who was new and she did make mistakes with our drink but the Asian waitress was quick to support her. The music played was quite interesting as they played acoustic versions of modern songs which makes for quite a good atmospheric feeling. However there was a waitress who was quite boisterous and kinda killed the vibe. The place was very nice and we’re glad we tried it at least.

My partner and I dined here last night, it was last minute booking and my partner wanted to eat somewhere nice but most fine dining venues were closed in the area, but luckily we stumbled across the 5 star reviews on Darley’s! I’m so glad we came to eat here, the food was impeccable, from the presentation to the complexity of the flavours. The atmosphere was great, it was quiet but not overly dead silent. It was a very relaxing and serene vibe in the venue and it was perfect and exactly what we needed. Service was very welcoming, attentive and friendly. The waitstaff were very kind, calm and happy, which added to the relaxing atmosphere. My partner and I both agreed this is hands down the best fine dining restaurant we have experienced so far. Hidden gem. Thanks so much we will definitely be back.

Lovely restaurant in keeping with the era. Dishes were beautifully presented however one entree was cold and had to be sent back but came back perfect. One of the 2 pork bellies was purely fat with no pork, whilst the other perfect. Service was disappointing. Met by an arrogant waiter who did not make you feel welcomed at all. Then we had a myriad of 5 different wait staff, each asking te same question. Our main waiter wasn't dressed in blacks like the others, had no idea about the menu nor how to serve wine (filled to the top of glasses or forgotten, and any thing but refined). We watched other tables with experienced staff and know that our experience would have been better if we had them. Disappointing for a two hatted restaurant.

I have dined at Darley’s over the years & it is still one of my favourite special dining experience in Blue Mountains. The old charm of the restaurant which gives a warm cosy intimate setting. Though you see a lot of adults (couples & groups) dining, it is also kid friendly. The service is always attentive with waitstaff dedicated to attend certain table sections but always willing to explain each dish. Once you taste the food (even just the complimentary warm sourdough bread with miso/honey butter), you know why it is a hatted restaurant! The flavours are well-balanced, creative but not too overpowering the natural taste of each ingredient. You can easily have a lovely 3 hour dining experience at Darley’s. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous setting, fantastic service! We enjoyed our wedding anniversary here and I cannot fault it. We chose the 5 course degustation menu (as opposed to the 7course) and were very satisfied. We also chose the pairing wine menu and they definitely don't short change you! We chose the pairing menu to suit the 5 course meal and you get full glasses with every course! Needless to say, not for light drinkers! The only complaint is that you eat faster than you drink and it can be overwhelming with so many drinks on the table or trying to keep up...! Food was exceptional with a visit from the chef to each table to see if all was ok😉 Lovely building with a historical twist, a short stroll from the main hotel. Highly recommend.
