Absolutely disappointing. I used to come here with my family 10 years ago, regularly. But was in the area and wanted to treat myself and a friend to what used to be a fabulous menu, quality food and service. But today was embarrassing.
The pate was inedible. The flavour and texture was impossible to get passed. The French baguette it was served with was not properly toasted and felt like eating Styrofoam.
The cheese platter was served with cheap biscuits and we had to ask for Jamon to accompany the 1 strawberry and 1/4 sliced orange it came with.
We asked for Tea, but the pot came empty. No water even in it.
The only saving grace was the mixed olives.
Back in the day they served squid ink risotto. Plates of various meats and cheeses. But today you will find chicken wings and guacamole...
Don't bother. With the owner no longer coming to the restaurant, this expensive...
Read moreExcellent. Food is good & it takes a bit to come which tells me it's fresh & they actually cook it instead of just reheating it. Really cute place with great atmosphere & staff. Then I used the bathroom & found the best public bathroom I've ever found on the planet... Those with elderly, injured, disabled, or dementia-afflicted loved ones will know what this means. Very thoughtful. For those who do not have any of these issues, it's still the coolest bathroom - painted funky, chandelier, plants & nic-knacks etc. If this much thought and care for diners has gone into the bathroom, I'm sure you can appreciate how good the rest of...

As recommended by others, got the salt and pepper squid, homemade crispy gnocchi and mixed paella.
The salt and pepper squid was really good, fresh, tender & fried well! A lot better than ones had at the Sydney fish market.
The paella was a bit of a let down, flavours, texture & seasoning weren’t quite right and wouldn’t get again.
The gnocchi however was amazing and something very different. They’re really light and melt in your mouth. It’s as if they took mashed potato and made it the same way you would churros. The blue cheese wasn’t too strong. Would highly recommend and go back just for this.
Wine selection was also good with good recommendations. Ended up going home with a bottle of Lopez de Haro ‘Crianza’...
