Bad service and rude staffs. Why does the restaurant even hire these kind of staffs? The food was amazing, every dish was 10/10. But the service is 0/10. Especially the woman who served us was extremely fake and impolite. She barely said thank you to us on the table. She also gave us very judgy look on how and what we ordered. We wanted to order both the steak and fish, and that lady literally judged us by “Can you guys even finish? That’s too much”. Okay maybe she thought we wouldn’t able to finish but this is not what we receive for the service. At the end, me and my friend still managed to finish the two main dishes(600g rib eye and blue eye cod). We have visited most of the fine dine restaurants in Sydney and this is the worst service we have ever had. We were so stunned and shocked by how the waiters treated us. Things got more worse towards the end, there was another rude man (waiter). I can’t believe what he said this. After dinner, we got two desserts. When the desserts arrived, I was not sure whether I got the correct one. So I asked the man to our table. Then this rude staff was so impolite, he kinda expected what I was gonna say. He went “No you didn’t order the wrong one, and even if you got this one(charlotte aux fruits), this is still popular and good”. What the hell did he mean by this ? It seems like he didn’t want to give me a chance to correct my order. What the hell is this manner ? The restaurant should hire better people to serve customers. Unbelievable. We were being so nice to them but their attitude were seriously terrible. They are asians, we are asians. Who are they to be racist to us ? The photos below are the woman and man who served us. Enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch at Charlotte indulging in expertly crafted modern French cuisine.

I came across this place while browsing Instagram and this place delivers on atmosphere, service and most importantly, the quality and presentation of the food.

On entering the restaurant, you're struck by the warmth and period feel of the entrance transitioning to the modern plush interior in a light filled dining and bar area. All very photo worthy. I noticed they also had an outdoor area.

The service is attentive, friendly and efficient - all throughout out time there, we were very well looked after and they always checked we were enjoying each course.

The food itself was some of the best modern french bistro style we've experienced - each dish was somehow unique and presented very well.

The highlights for us were the duck and chicken liver parfait (light with no bitter after taste served with perfected toasted bread and condiments) and the duck (lightly crisp skin served with macadamia and grape fruit which balanced the savoury jus).

Every dish, including the mille feuille to finish, were relished, savoured and thoroughly devoured.

It was the perfect way to spend a Sunday lunchtime. Thank you to the Charlotte Bar and Bistro team for making our day!!

The food and the atmosphere was great, however, there’s one waitress that’s extremely rude. When ordering the food, she keeps judging me and my friends whether we can finish it or not, literally looking like us in disbelief like we are pigs or something, later on, after we actually finished our food, she came to our table and look at our plate for 13 seconds straight and she laughed and then she just walked away. Like im here to dine, not here to accept this kind of unprofessional behavior. And whenever my friend and i say thank you to her, she don’t even reply a no worries, she just walk away.The way she talked with us is just really impolite. Also,my friend and i are both asian, she’s sooooo nice to the group of white people next to us, we’re not sure if this is racism, but we hope not:) We swear to god that we were nice to all the waiters, also we’ve spent a decent amount so it’s not that we order nothing and occupied the seat. Once again, other waiters are super helpful, extremely nice, the food was also delicious, but it’s just this one single waitress that made this experience unpleasant. We hope no other customers will experience this kind of treatment...
