I ordered 5 pizzas and a garlic bread on a Tuesday evening via the app which was all very straightforward.
I arrived at the Gymea store to pick up my order (at this time the app indicated that the order was ready) to find a few disgruntled looking customers in the foyer, two confused looking staff members at the oven and one staff member making pizza.
Nobody was talking to the customers at all or even acknowledging that they were there. It was 7 minutes until I could talk with a staff member who was the person making pizza when I arrived. I enquired about my order and he simply said it would be ready soon. I asked if it was still in the oven and he said yes.
I waited a further 8 minutes until I was able to talk to someone again and in this time only two or three customers received their small orders. I looked around and noticed a large pile of pizzas next to the oven and the staff members kept opening these pizzas one by one when customers asked where their orders were. I asked if my order was actually in the oven or if the pizzas are just sitting there in the big pile. The staff member checked, then walked straight past me to make pizza without saying anything. I was impatient by this point, so called out to him to let me know where my order was. He came back to the counter and informed me that only 4 of my 5 pizzas could be found, so he was going to make the fifth one now. I was very fed up, so I just asked if I could take what they could give me as I had people waiting for me to provide them dinner.
I ended up leaving very disappointed with four cold pizzas and three garlic bread instead of the five pizzas and one garlic bread that I actually ordered.
Apparently the printer ran out of paper at some point which threw everything into disarray. I do understand that things happen, but the most disappointing thing was that customers were being completely ignored. I was standing there (along with other customers) for 15 minutes wondering what was going on and ended up having to call out to find out. No matter what happens, you cannot just ignore people let alone paying customers. If I were there to place an order, I would have walked out after 2 minutes of not being served, but I had already paid so I had no choice but to wait it out.
Had I been served and informed of the situation when I walked in the door, I could have requested whatever pizzas were ready at the time (which I'm sure those four pizzas were ready then as indicated by the app) or simply requested a refund, so that I wouldn't have to wait. By not acknowledging customers, this choice is taken away and it is incredibly frustrating.
This was my first time ordering at Dominos Pizza Gymea and I do not know why I would be bothered going there again, but thought this feedback would at least be valuable and hopefully improve the customer experience...
Read moreShould be demolished and the staff fired. I've had several bad pizzas where they didn't cut enough or keep the pizza cutters sharp, little topping often happen and an overload of cheese to be scabby and cover the costs of meat and 90 percent of the time the pizzas are so oily you could drain it and run a lawn mower with it. Today half the pizza wasnt even on the base and they (some indian staff) laughed behind my back about it in the kitchen and think I wouldn't notice but my friend did. When I returned it they handed me an uncooked pizza back and that's when I decided to give up on Dominoe's entirely. I've had bad experiences with their Sylvania store where the man gave me a ham and cheese pizza when I clearly and undoubtedly said ham and cheese sandwich. They don't care if they waste your time, I've had it say 2 mins left till ready and then it switched to 9 mins left till ready. They don't care about you and as someone who regularly buys pizzas almost once or twice a day, they've lost a loyal customer who will be buying pizzas elsewhere. So goodbye to that 35-70 dollars a week you woulda gotten. I've also had a white blonde lady that works there bad eye my friends and swear at staff and taken her anger out on the pizza roller making the pizzas extremely thin. She's also complained about the floor mats which are there to take the pain away from standing but they move. She clearly doesn't want to be there and shouldn't be because she whines so much about her so tough...
Read morePretty disappointed by the service. The food was fine although a bit old...... Upon arrival we were advised that our pizzas that we had preordered were ready but we had to wait on the churros. We were then told it was going to be a 10-15 minute wait. I clarified that the pizzas were ready and asked why it wasn't all timed so it was ready together and I got a shrug. I then realise all the staff would have been aged 16 at a push with no adult in sight! I wasn't going to take it out on this poor kid who was the messenger so I sat down to wait. After 10 minutes and seeing no additional food being placed in the warmer in the last 5 minutes, I went to the counter to enquire how much longer it was going to be and watched as the young kid went over and looked....the churros were just sitting there with our pizzas, but no one had thought to have the decency to let us know out food was good to go. Pretty poor service and subsequently our food certainly wasn't fresh. On a positive the vegan garlic bread here...
