Lovely and friendly staff, food was really good..I had scones and cappuccino while my husband had big breakfast and cappuccino… we both enjoy the food… However, I’m giving ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ only due to an important thing I noticed while we were there.. CLEANLINESS - floor was filthy, cobwebs on the ceiling just right next to the entrance door, dusts on the wine bottle displays and chandelier and lightings.. then after seeing this, I thought to myself, if they don’t clean the place then how will I know that the food I’m eating is clean? then I saw the cook touching the food inside the kitchen with his bare hands without gloves while the other hand holding his phone… so, I’m not sure I’m coming back to this place again. Yum! I'd never even noticed this place before but bought a scoopon voucher and had a wonderful dinner for two. Lovely woodfired bread with dips to start. The salmon with vegetables was great, I suspect a lot of butter but no complaints here. Nicely cooked steak with salad and chips and a good flourless cake with orange sorbet for dessert. 1.5 stars. way overpriced for what you get. How can the coffee at $3.70 be higher than the coffee I get in the CBD at $3.50 which is far better mind you? Eggs benedict was poor. salmon was very chilled and made the rest of it cold. The bread was too hard. 16 odd bucks for one egg is bordering the ridiculous. It is Gymea not Double Bay.
